So, what'cha doin' this weekend?

I'll be beating my head against the wall. DS(16) spring breaks starts and all his friends are going somewhere..and I mean all...we can't even pull off a visit to his sister at college 'casue her break was 2 weeks ago. It's cold, the forecast stinks until you guessed it, 10 days from now when break is over. I'll escape his sulking for a bit at work , but I am part time and as luck would have it only working 2 days this week:confused3. Even his swim practice is cancelled since his coach and rest of team will be gone. I hate being broke, saving for college and a DH who has to take his time off over Christmas.

I feel for ya!!!

I know you said you are saving, but if I were in your shoes I would either be buy DS a new video game and telling him I don't want to hear any whinning or I would be buying myself a big bottle of booze to help numb my ears to his whinning.

Trying to get better! DH, DD, and I all have colds. Hoping to feel better by Sunday because I have tickets to go see the Lion King play with my mom!!!! :goodvibes

Sounds like I'll be advising my high schooler all weekend on their big vacation planning project.

And I want to work some in my garden if the weather cooperates. If it does rain like the forecast says I'll be shining up pennies for penny pressing. LOL

And my parents are in town so they might be coming over. I picked up some bloody mary mix just in case. I can only take my mother in small doses unless I've had a drink or 2 or 3.

My dad says he'll bring his dremel tool and whatever tools he uses to shine stuff and said he'd help me clean pennies. I guess he's bored and feels the need to use power tools. I'll take all the help I can get.
I'll be wanting quite a few nice shiny pennies for Disney World in May and Disneyland in June.

Hubby just called me he bought a $2 scratch ticket and won $300...wooohooo. Normally I am not a fan of the lotto but when he wins I am a fan lol...he said he would take me out to dinner :)

Nice!

I think we are going to the movies on Saturday. And Sunday will be baby shower 3 of 5 so far in 2011

A game of badminton with friends tomorrow afternoon, then out with same friends to party in the evening, then visiting camping stores on Sunday and hopefully get to see Lincoln Lawyer on Sunday evening.

As for the numbing my ears, lol...I am not a drinker, but chocolate, now that may be a way to take the edge off.
