"So what do you want to do next?" An April '10 TR...final thoughts 8/2 p. 63

The way I remember it, after the AIE we did TOT first. The sign outside said the wait was like 45 minutes, but I remembered from my trip in January that the posted wait was like that and we walked right on. And I mean RIGHT ON, as in right to and through the library and right to the elevator where they were waving us on to fill out a car. It was a little longer this time, like 10-15 minutes, but not much at all. We still had time to ride RnRC and get to the buses before Fantasmic let out.

As for the AIE finale, as Sarah said, I thought the young English girl, Rachel Rawlinson, seemed very polished and professional for a 15 year old. When we got home, I did a Google search on "Rachel Rawlinson London" and found that a girl by that name had appeared as Jane Banks in the London production of the Mary Poppins musical in 2006, and also appeared in a production of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I would be surprised if that Rachel isn't the same as the one we saw in AIE.

I thought Rachel and Marvin were both great. Rachel sang the song "I Need a Hero", and the way she danced around to it gave me the impression that she had done it before. Marvin was great too, but I think he won in part because he really played to the crowd. He also had the advantage of being last, and when he finished, the "Simon" judge said "I have two words for you- YOU WIN". I think that may have really influenced indecisive voters with short attention spans.

nice update!!! I remember when AI first came out and my roommates and I would go see the shows on our days off and it was like CRAZY trying to get into the finale. Often times, we would miss getting in and have to sit outside on the sidewalk and watch it on the big screen. I don't know if they still show it like that but back a year ago the place was nuts!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I'm not an AI fan, quit watching it after the first few seasons, but the show sounds like fun, I may have to check it out sometime. And you can't go wrong finishing the night with RNRC & ToT! :woohoo:

Great choice for some night time fun! We love the AIE, especially the finale :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I think your dad is right, that girl probably was a professional! Too big of a coincidence to be JUST a coincidence!

Thanks for the AI recap. I'm not really into idol so I totally skipped over that but it sounds like it could be fun!

Great update. I really would love to try out the AI experience. I can never get anyone to go with me. It looks so fun!

We always do the single riders (and sing... put you hands up, uh uh uh oh...) line for RnRc. I just won't wait in line for it anymore.

"Cause if you like it then you shoulda got a fast pass!" :lmao:

I haven't been to an AIE show yet and I like the idea of waiting to see the finale.

Okay, so somehow your TR got DELETED off of my subscribed list! :scared1: Ugh, I have a lot of catching up to do!!!

As you know, I LOVE the AIE!! It's so much fun. Especially the finale shows. I'm a sucker for a good confetti shower. :lmao:

Sounds like a great way to end the day Sarah! I still haven't checked out AIE...one of these trips I will get over there.

Sounds like you had a fun evening. You sure were able to hit some real highlights of the park. I don't watch AI at home, but I have enjoyed going to the AIE show on last few trips. So I would encourage anyone to go to at least one show.

You and your Dad are sure having a great trip, it is amazing how much you can move around when you travel in a small party.:)

That was one of the best parts of this trip. We never had disagreements over what to do. Sarah just did what she wanted and I followed along. If Sarah didn't care what we did next, I just went where I wanted and she followed along.

You know I hate the herding part of the AIE. People get so crazy! It's like chill people!

AIE sounds so fun! DH and I didn't get a chance to check it out but my parents caught one of the shows and they loved it!! What a nice way to end on RnC and TOT!!! That last pic of DHS as you were leaving is beautiful Sarah!:goodvibes

Yes, you are right, now I remember doing TOT first. I just had no pictures from there so I said RNRC first.

I'm not an AI fan, quit watching it after the first few seasons, but the show sounds like fun, I may have to check it out sometime. And you can't go wrong finishing the night with RNRC & ToT! :woohoo:

The AIE is a lot of fun even if you don't like the real show. You should try it!

The finale is great. I know we'll be going to one again in August!

Thanks for the AI recap. I'm not really into idol so I totally skipped over that but it sounds like it could be fun!

You should give it a try too. I love how it's like the real show but everyone can enjoy it.

Aww, no one will go with you?! It's such a great show!

Yeah, now with TSM at the Studios it completely changes our plan of attack for the park. It's just one more big attraction that people are rushing to. You kind of have to take your pick as to which one you're willing to wait for. But the single rider line is so nice.

"Cause if you like it then you shoulda got a fast pass!" :lmao:

I haven't been to an AIE show yet and I like the idea of waiting to see the finale.

Did you see the music video to it? I can't remember who posted it on facebook! LOL.

Okay, so somehow your TR got DELETED off of my subscribed list! :scared1: Ugh, I have a lot of catching up to do!!!

Oh no! I hate when that happens.

As you know, I LOVE the AIE!! It's so much fun. Especially the finale shows. I'm a sucker for a good confetti shower. :lmao:

LOL, yeah, the confetti shower is pretty great.

Sounds like a great way to end the day Sarah! I still haven't checked out AIE...one of these trips I will get over there.

We did have a great ending to our day!

I agree with you. You really don't have to be a fan of the show to enjoy the AIE. It's just a fun competition.

You know I hate the herding part of the AIE. People get so crazy! It's like chill people!

Ugh, no kidding! :confused3:mad:

AIE sounds so fun! DH and I didn't get a chance to check it out but my parents caught one of the shows and they loved it!! What a nice way to end on RnC and TOT!!! That last pic of DHS as you were leaving is beautiful Sarah!:goodvibes

Glad your parents enjoyed the AI show. Hopefully you'll get to see it soon. The one thing I worry about is how long it will last with all the changes to the real show. I hope it can still stay popular!

Aww, thanks for the compliment on the picture!

I think that's the only bad thing about any of the shows. People are always so pushy! I've learned to just let them go. I'd rather hang back and take my time to get in instead of worry about getting separated from my party. Of course, doing that for Turtle Talk with Crush ended up being a bad idea because there were no seats left over. There were more kids who wanted to sit with their parents instead so Weird and I had to stand, which wasn't good for my condition. I'm sure I would've been fine since we sat while waiting to be let in, but both of my parents started "yelling" at me that I couldn't stand for the entire show, and I ended up getting nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it! They put it in my mind when I'm sure I would've made it out fine since the show's not TOO long. Haha, I did survive by the way. But all that to say ... haha, people have to stop being pushy and move all the way down to the end of the row.

Haha, considering how often you talk about AIE, I will definitely make sure I go see a show next time I'm there.

I really want to watch AIE my next trip, it looks fun! Everyone always says it's cool, and just like the real thing... I've got to try it.

Sounds like a nice end to the day. We just discovered the Single Rider line on this past trip, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who get "All the Single Riders" stuck in their head. :lmao:

AIE sounds so cool!!!:thumbsup2 I wish we would have been able to fit it in on our last trip. Oh well...there's always next time! Glad you were able to finish your day with TOT and RNRC!! What a fun night!!!:goodvibes

The more I read about AIE, the more I want to see it! We've never done it before but I think this year I will need to drag Joe and go!!
