Great update! I'm currently having the dilema of how to do Toy Story Mania. Should I get a fastpass first and then ride or vice versa. I'm actually thinking we'll go straight to the ride at rope drop. That seemed to work great for you.
See my dad's comment: We are staunch advocates of riding first and then getting FP's as we exit. So many people go right for FP's, so the line for those builds up faster than the ride line. We were in and out of the ride in about 10 minutes and when we got out we only had to wait for a minute or two to get FP's. It was nothing like the line that we saw in August when we got off the ride. Our FP return was for about 11:45, and we'd rather ride twice a few hours apart than twice in a row.
I definitely agree with this. There's no point waiting in line for a fastpass when you could get one ride done right away.
We were are HWS that day too! I'm jealous that you got to ride RNRC. When we went over there, the line had an hour wait, and the fastpasses were for too late.
That is funny we were there the same day. Wonder if we saw you at all. hehe Bummer about RNRC though!
I am not in WDW--yet! Ask me again on Thursday, lol!
I've been packing today, but I'm taking a break out on the patio right now watching DH fill up Tiki Torches!
You guys are on a roll for accomplishing a lot in a little time! I'll have to look for that Nemo...
Ohhh, don't rub it in.
Yup, it is always a bonus when you can get all the major attractions done quickly.
Haha, WOW, Weird and I did not see where they have the park maps for DHS at all. We were on our way to Toy Story Mania (that route we memorized) when we realized we didn't know where anything else was! That was the park that we NEEDED the map, so we had to find one later on from a souvenir stop.
I wish we had done what you did - ride first and then get FP. I thought that it'd be okay to get FP first and then just enjoy the queue, but gosh, I mean, I know it's a great queue with cool designs and all, but I just couldn't stand that long!
Hmm, I should really get back to writing my TR, haha. But I still have book reports to grade!!! AGHHHH, the inner conflicts ...
LOL, oops!
We actually waited one night for stand-by. It was somewhere around an hour which was kind of annoying but at the same time it wasn't all that bad. I'd rather have a short wait though.
Only a couple more weeks left Rachel!
Great find in the TSM queue. I never spotted Nemo before! I don't know how you can stomach ToT AND RNRC. I used to be able to do ToT but recently been to terrified to go on it again. I've never been on RNRC since it goes upside down. Is it really that bad though? How many loops are there?
I LOVE Tower of Terror and RNRC! Especially TOT. Part of what makes it so fun is the theming and then seeing other people's reactions. My mom was sort of the same way...I guess she rode it once and said she liked it but then she never got on it again.
I am not one who really cares for loops on roller coasters either but because it's in the dark it's not so bad. I have to admit I'll still close my eyes every once in a while. I think there's only 2 loops and then the corkscrew.
Great update, I love pics of DHS, it's one of my favorite parks.
I've never been on the stand-by TSM line yet, I always rush to get a FP. The queue line looks so cute though that I will definitely get on line first and then a FP after.
Ahh yes, I remember my first ride on ToT! My legs were shaking, too!
The queue is pretty impressive and there's so much to look at...the details are amazing: like some of the crayons are worn down like Andy has used them more than others.

I still don't get why the line was so long in August.
Great update!!

Love all the pictures at DHS! I'm glad to hear that riding TSM first then getting fastpasses worked for you! We have never rode TSM stand-by yet so we've never seen Mr. Potato Head.

Hoping to next trip! Very cool to see Nemo!!!
Mr. Potato Head is pretty entertaining when he is working. I think for a little bit he was broken. haha
LOVE RnRC - it may be my favorite Disney thrill ride, it's hard to choose just one though!
Sounds like you're having a great morning, getting the 3 'big' attractions done early
RNRC is quickly climbing my list of favorites.
Great update Sarah!! Good job getting those 3 big attractions out of the way so quickly!!!
BTW, good Brewers/Twins series this weekend!! I couldn't believe how long the game on Saturday went!! It was so exciting!!
Yeah, it was great to get those done and then we could kind of relax and do whatever else we felt like.
Oh boy, the Brewers...I have become a bandwagon fan I think. Still love the team but when you lose all the time...

I can't believe they actually won yesterday.

Hopefully they'll win Sunday when we go (though that is unlikely since they are even WORSE at home

).
