So what are we supposed to call this decade??

Question comes from me and my son. YOu know how we say "the eighties" or the "seventies". Well, what about this decade?

I never heard of anyone referring this decade by name? Have you?

Nope, I haven't. I have thought of this question before though. Are we in the '00's? Or will we call this the 2000's? I have no idea.

I've heard "the aughts." Don't really like it, but I think that's what some called the 1900s instead of "nineteen hundreds."

I think so far people have just been calling it the 21st century. I don't know what will happen in the teens though.
