...to have a variety of TV channels available while vacationing at our DVC locations?
My wife and I have lengthily vacation during January and February when the days are shorter and nights are colder and when Disney doesnt offer special events and attractions to absorb some of that time of day. In turn we depend on the TV to fill in those evening hours but the offerings at DVC do not include the shows we enjoy. When we go in the fall, all sorts of evening activities are available and the need for finding something to fill our time is not such a problem. It seems that if the slogan when you check in is Welcome Home and they really meant it, then perhaps they should offer those TV channels that most of us are offered at our home locations and let us choose which programs to watch. We found our selves listening to our desired broadcast by driving off property for evening meals and listening to satellite car radio for the news. We did find some of our TV programs on at McDonalds near Blizzard Beach. I think that if you can find other TV networks on property then its not much of a stretch to extend those same networks throughout Disney or just the DVC locations. I would think with the number of DVC owners we should have some say in our desires as to the basic TV offerings even though it may be a penny or two more on our annual dues or on the cost of other accommodations.
Does anyone know if the Swan or Dolphin resorts have a larger selection of channel?
