So Truth Comes Out..Arnold Schwarzenegger Has Other Child!

No she didn't. But, she has to own her part. She was an enabler. If she plays the clueless victim role, she won't heal. She has to figure out what she did wrong and move on. We tell people to not walk alone at night. Why? Because yup may put yourself in a dangerous situation. Not your fault if you're robbed, but you don't walk around nonchalantly either.

Maria Shriver comes from a family of serial cheaters. Politics was their first job and cheating was their second job.
I agree that she was an enabler.

This isn't her fault, by a long shot. Maria would be to blame if she gave her consent for Arnold to sleep with this woman. Do you think Arnold consulted her before he did it?

She may not have said in words "Go ahead" but by her action or inaction. You know the saying Actions speak louder than words.

I've always felt Shriver was kind of skeletal looking myself. Not that that makes it alright to cheat on someone. I'm just saying she isn't gorgeous either.

She really does poor thing. I used to think she was the pretty Kennedy girl. The rest of them look a little horsey.

I'm not buying the idea that Maria didn't know. I think it was a combined effort from the both of them to conceal this...

I agree.

Yes he did! He did with his previous actions. When she didn't divorce him after all the allegations, stories, and rumors......She gave her consent.

:thumbsup2

Even though they're in a mess now, I hope they both find happiness.

Absolutely! I'm not saying what Arnold and this other woman did was right. . .but I think that often times the wife knows and keeps quiet because of the perks of her lifestyle. This is soooo common among the affluent.

She didn't need Arnold to be affluent. She already was. And she didn't participate in the politics, so you can't say that's why she did it.

Everyone is quoting things she said in public - in private she might have told him to knock it off and behave himself. Who knows really? :confused3

Allegations are just that, allegations. Stories and rumors are just that, stories and rumors. Why would she divorce him based on things that may not be true?:confused3

Actually, after repeatedly denying that he groped these women (like a dozen of them) and accusing political rivals of making the stories up for political gain, Arnold finally admitted that "where there's smoke there's fire" and that he "behaved badly." Shriver came to his defense and said she would make up her own mind and that she knew the man she was married to.

She even went as far as saying not to believe the admissions that came from Arnold Schwarzenegger's own mouth:eek: Talk about a slap in the face to those that he sexually groped:sad2:

Shouldn't be too long now before we get the ol' "well, if she'd been takin' care of business at home, he wouldn't have had to wander."

You're right. . she most definitely came from and had her own affluence. BUT it also means that she was raised in this sort of culture, if you will. I'm sure many female members of her family have lived through this, and she has been raised in the culture of you stand by your powerful man.

I actually think she is showing some kahunas now to stand up against that. Think of all the political wives (Clinton, etc) that stand up with their husbands and smile for the cameras even though I'm sure they are hurt and probably drag their cheating spouses around by their b*lls in private.

Most of us don't live in the fishbowl that some of these people do. I just remember that when all the Clinton stuff came out, I was really disappointed in Hillary. Here I thought she was a smart tough woman with a lot of her own personal merits. But what did she do? She stood there and smiled to support her man. . .and for what reason?. . .to not lose some power? I think she underestimated her own merits.

That's JMHO. . .and I really don't envy any of them. . . because I'm not sure that I wouldn't do the exact same thing. There. . I admitted it! If I was in their shoes I might do all the same things to keep that house of cards up for the public and the press. Now, in private, that might be a whole 'nother ball of wax. :headache:

I think in the end, what we need to remember is that we are all human. Prince Charles and Lady Di come to mind. What a burden to carry . . .the fairytale wedding, etc! That must have been hell for her.

People are put off at how she defended her husband's groping. It was very wrong. She set herself up by staying with a man that admitted to group sex and apologized for sexual harassment and behaving badly with women.

What did she expect? Really?

I never understand why people are so shocked that politicians are cheats and are into rather kinky stuff most of the time. They mostly all have mistresses. The wives for the most part know too. She's a Kennedy you would think she would know better anyway.
i wouldn't be shocked if Obama had a person on the side in the least bit. The truth is though they are not married to me and as long as they are doing there job who cares.

LOL, women set themselves up all the time, they believe in the men they love, I'm told it's called chemistry 'n the way it's spozed to be. :wizard:

Not to be rude, but once a certain poster joins the thread, I am "outta here":rotfl:

So sad, as I love a good discussion and thought we were having just that. Hope to catch ya'll on another thread:wave2:

When their job includes their belief that marriage is between a man 'n a woman 'n that they're protectin' the defintion 'n sanctity of marriage, it involves me.

They should be eatin' the words that marriage is between one man 'n one woman!

I agree, but I'd go a step further. This is happening every single day with "regular" folks, too. Except how many women get abortions after they have affairs with married men? Most, I'd be willing to bet. We women get all riled up about the cheating dog scum of a man who has affairs, but no matter how WRONG it is, let's not be naive and think this is a unique story.

Why in the world are you typing like that? It makes it a bit hard to take you seriously.

So if he's not a groper he's a liar, right?

He may be. He's a politician. They are not necessarily honest about everything they say.

Apologize for sexual harassment even if you didn't do it:confused3 Um, ok.

Nope. But now maybe she knows how those women felt when she poo pooed their pain.

He may have apologized just to smooth things over, as I said.

I am not condoning if he groped anyone or the fact that he had an affair and fathered a child outside of the marriage. But it seems as though some are trying to put part of the blame, about the affair and the child, onto Maria, and I do not think it is her fault that he did what he did. HE is the one who had the affair, not Maria.

I agree. When this thread resorts to making fun of Maria and her looks, I'm out of here. Have fun discussing.
