I don't think it has anything specifically to do with black. I think it is just speaking in a southern accent. Or at least, that's how I view it.

It's a bigger debate than whether or not I'm black.

Personally, I chose the character Uncle Remus for my DIS name coz I absolutely love the man 'n all he represents, he's by far better than any princess or prince.

I am and I don't have a problem with Uncle Remus.
