I haven't read or watched the Twilight stuff or the other stuff out now...BUT I just read a fun novel, Already Dead, and it was actually quite good. The guy, at least in that book (there are others by the author), reads sort of like the Burn Notice protagonist. Pretty funny.

I'm 55 yrs old and will never tire of vampires. I loved watching all those old black and white movies when I was a kid on late night tv shows and still love all the new venues. There are lots of things I too am sick of like sit coms but nevern vampires. I can't look at David Boreanaz with out thinking of Angel.

While I find the whole Twilight hoopla to be rather annoying, I LOVE Ann Rice's vamps and I've very recently gotten completely hooked on Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire series. And I'm a huge fan of old vampire movies from Nosferatu up through the Christopher Lee flicks of the 70's. Oh - and I can't leave out Barnabas Collins! He was one evil blood-sucker and I am a huge fan to this day!

I like scary vampires. I make an exception for Angel but I prefer the vicious Christopher Lee style vampire.

Barnabas was interesting. He switched between being evil and kind very convincingly. I was all about Quentin in those days though.
