So this morning I'm just casually perusing dining availability for my family's trip in November. And then - suddenly... there it was! Be Our Guest lunch for FIVE people. On a day we have MK planned. PURRRRRRFECT!
Or so I thought....
When I clicked the seemingly unattainable lunch-time to book my reservation the pesky "you have another reservation for this time period" message popped up. EXCEPT.... this time, I was not given the option to cancel the other worthless-by-comparison lunch reservation to snatch up BOG. Panic ensued. For the next 5 minutes, my household was turned into a chaotic shrieking semblance of its former calm self. A child was crying, parents shouting at each other, frantic running from room to room to find other electronic devices that could simultaneously cancel the other piddly reservation and secure our golden goose.
As you can probably guess, from the title of this post, by the time we went through the process of canceling our original lunch reservation, refreshing, getting back the BOG page, the reservation was gone. Sigh....
Anyway, what gives? Why is it that every other time I've booked a new reservation when an old one is in place it gave me the option to then and there cancel the original reservation? This time, the system just extended me a big middle finger and said - whoops, sorry. You already got one.
Do I just chalk this up to another one of Disney's website quirks?
