so tempted to get FP for wishes, should I?

We are going ealy May, If you have a FP for Main Street EP do you have to move for Wishes? and if so how long is MSEP in order to move for Wishes. We are thinking about on leaving the park as we have a 20 month old who may not like the noise. (Looking at TTC or staying near bus pick up at MK)

Wondering the same thing. If what PP's said still applies, would a FP+ for MSEP secure us a decent spot for Wishes, or would we be asked to leave the area once the parade ends!

Read posts #73 and 75 of this thread. The current FP+ spot for MSEP is a poor spot to watch Wishes.

with the additional FP space for wishes will there be possibility of wishes as a 4th FP? We are going in August on a predicted 3 day...thoughts?

I would say unlikely, because there's still going to be a lot fewer FPs available for Wishes than for any of the attractions.

So, it's feasible that a person could watch the parade from the Wishes FP+ location? But is that a good idea?

According to post #30 (another Robo post ;)), you can't see the lower floats or the people who walk in the parade.

We had a wishes FP last Sunday (3/15). I would not book it again. As others have said, when you arrive, they tell you that you will have to stand when the fireworks start. We ended up standing against the rail, and it was OK, but I was really hoping for a nice sit down experience. Also, the CM with the traffic light saber in front of us could not keep her light still (even when no one was coming). She waved that thing the entire time. It was very distracting.

Gee, here I was thinking I could sit on that new synthetic lawn...well this really burst my bubble! Not to mention the annoying light saber. :guilty:

what if you have kids in a stroller? Can they stay in the stroller?

If everyone is standing in front of the children in strollers they probably won't be able to see.

I get it, they need to fit as many people as possible in the area - but if it's a designated "preferred seating" area then all guests in that area should actually be able to see the show. Install some stowable bleachers or something, jeesh. Let people see AND sit. Use some of that Magic to get it done.

I was hoping the two, new, expanded areas had enough space, and number of FP distributed was limited enough that everyone choosing to use their FP for it could sit down, actually see and enjoy the show.

And to hear they have trees blocking the view from the special viewing area is frankly, ludicrous. Unbelievable.

Yeah, it doesn't sound as appealing as I initially thought if everyone has to stand.

We had a Wished FP last week. We got there just after 8:00pm and they let us in (Plaza side).

We were told by the CM's that once it was fireworks time we would have to stand - no exceptions. They jammed as many people into the new area as they could. It was still nicer than being out with the masses, but NOTHING like the rose garden.

If you went to the far side of the viewing area you did have a very nice view of the EP (little added extra).

How jammed was it? Were people creeping into your space or was it just standing room only? I have an 8:25 reservation at BoG and am considering a Wishes FP because we will be rushing to get to the hub. I'm taking my 8 year old niece and I want to make sure she gets a good view for it but if I'm still going to have to deal with people crowding into my space, stepping on my heels, accidental pushes, etc then I think I will pass.

We just did the wishes FP last night (Friday, April 9th). They didn't make us stand! The people in the front grass section were standing, but everyone in the back grass section stayed sitting. I kept waiting for them to make is stand but they didn't.

This is good to hear! Hope we can sit on our Wishes night too.
Maybe it depends on crowds, but seems to me everyone would have a much better view if the crowd was sitting.

I know wed miss the audio and such but were staying at sog. So, would it be possible to just walk over to the Polynesian and watch from the beach?! Having a 3 yo this would be an awesome alternative to dealing with crowds

Take the bus to TTC.

I would have never expected that on such a busy day at MK. It's very good to hear.
