Hi everyone! I have been lurking on here for about a month now, and figured it was time to step up and introduce myself and get in on the action! I know a proposal from my man is coming soon, and I already have my heart set on a Disney wedding! I just want to thank all of you here - your suggestions and pictures are so helpful! I am already overwhelmed at how crazy expensive Disney's weddings are and how to plan everything from out of state! Hearing your advice and getting some ideas is so helpful, so thank you!!!

You will definitely get lots of advice and ideas here to keep your wedding budget under control!

Depending on what part of the country you live in, a Disney wedding can actually be quite competitive in price! I think the average price of a wedding is about $30,000 (could be higher in some areas, and lower in others)...and of course that depends on the number of guests you have. When you consider that Disney's Wishes weddings start with a minimum of $10,000, that's fairly reasonable for a Fairy Tale Wedding! Yes, the Castle is a bit more expensive...but it has been worse. For a couple of years they were asking for a $500,000 minimum for that location!! It's a lot less than that now!

Planning from out of state isn't all that hard! Disney's planners and coordinators are experts and many brides plan their entire wedding from home!

Definitely play on the website wishbook. It's not the best for pricing and options but it will give you a place to start!
