So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Enjoy your day, sounds like it will be busy but fun.

I hope your friend is getting better.

But since we are all DIStown neighbors, it's exciting to everyone! Blue balloons on all the mailboxes today! :dance3:

Jill did well, but she will honestly tell you that a lot of the trip was a blur in her mind. As she sees the pictures, then she remembers. That is certainly understandable. She was recovering from a serious trauma, and she was taking care of a new baby.

I bet she loves all your wonderful pictures to help her. And the next trip with you will be extra special for her. She deserves so much for all her hard work. She's an amazing Mom.

Brooklynn is certainly getting her share of attention this weekend! :goodvibes

The young man - I will refer to him as B, for privacy's sake - is not responding as they are trying to bring him out of the coma. Right now, everything just feels pretty sickening. :sad1:

Saying prayers for your family friend :grouphug: and have fun at Brooklyn's recital. How fun! princess:

If nothing else, this family is surrounded by comforting thoughts and prayers right now. They are a well-liked and respected family. If I said the name, you would probably have heard of them, since you are from the Nashville area.

Brooklynn is enjoying a big weekend, and it's going to get even bigger tomorrow. She will probably CRASH hard Sunday night. ;)

I hope she is enjoying the pictures. I like sharing them with others, but truthfully, I get the biggest pleasure out of reliving those times myself. It is so easy to jump back into the pictures and be there again, and it makes me have such a happy feeling. :)

She was talking about getting a spa appointment when we go to Vero. I hope she does that. She very much deserves some pampering. If I had the money, I'd take her on a kid-free weekend to WDW in October, but I don't. Everything is going to the December trip right now.

Prayers for your family friend. That must be sooo difficult for them!

I agree about the Disney smells. I found that when they had a line of fragrances/bath products, the Pixie Dust reminded me of the smell in the Poly lobby. Yup, I bought some and wear it to give me a Disney feeling.

I hope the weekend fun goes well for you all! We know all about dance recitals! We have a few more weeks until ours and then it will be a very long day of dancing! But it's so much fun!

I know that you enjoyed your time with your family this weekend. Graduation, dancing, now you are on to your final week with students, and then getting ready for a trip.
Even though it's not WDW you will be crossing two Disney resorts off your list and hopefully getting to spend some relaxing time with friends and family.

I have been thinking and praying for your young man today. We certainly never know when something like this will come our way. I can't begin to imagine what the family must be feeling. I know that we have to turn it over to God and trust at Him times like this, but it can be so hard. I will continue to keep all that love him in my prayers.

I told Jill that we are now planning on leaving next Sunday and stopping for the night in St. Louis. We will be to Nashville much earlier on Monday. Jill can get back home much earlier to get to work that way. I'll let you know when I have something more definite in the way of time, now I'm thinking early afternoon.

Just caught up on your updates. I love that you got to see New Fantasyland :) Frankie has done quite a bit of filming for Disney and he got to see so much of it before it opened. I couldn't wait to finally see it for myself.

I'll keep that young man and his family and friends in my prayers.

Sounds like Brooklyn has had quite an eventful weekend! Congratulations to her on her graduation :goodvibes

Your family friend and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers. That is so so tragic.

If I too can ask for some prayers from dis-town? My step-aunt passed away on Thursday after a long battle with breast cancer and she leaves behind three young girls (twins 12, and the youngest is 9) who are of course taking it very very hard and could use some good thoughts coming their way.

DD18's birthday is on the 10th. :goodvibes

I think between the kids we have and the ones coming, we can fill October with a party a day! :cool1:

She did very well, and we all went back to the hotel and had pizza and cookie cake afterward. They were going to go swimming after we left to come back to TN, so she should sleep well tonight. ::yes::

Another distinct smell of Disney, for me, is Basin. You can smell the 'clean' as you walk up to the doors.

Prayers for your family friend. That must be sooo difficult for them!

Prayers for the family!

Prayers to the family. Such a tragic thing. Addison's disease is a horrible disease.

Sending thoughts and prayers.

Trent and Brandi went to the hospital tonight. He said they all had prayer time together. He said B's dad was the usual calm guy he always is, but the mother was upset. He said there has been a tiny bit of change, but not enough that anyone is speaking really positively about anything.

I am so looking forward to that day. :)

Yet another reason to go to Disney.

It will be happier than ever!

I have no doubt that B's parents are completely trusting God in this situation. Are they hurting? Absolutely, but I know them as extremely faithful people, and I believe they know God will see them through whatever the outcome is.

Our Field Day was postponed due to rain, so we're having it Monday. I have a lot of paperwork to do the next three days. The students get out a half day Friday, but some will just come to get report cards, so the rest of the kid will help me clean the room, stack chairs, clean desks, etc. They enjoy doing stuff like that.

We're excited about Vero and Kidani! :thumbsup2

That's a cool job. Drew would love to get into something where he could film and photograph, only he'd probably like it to be cars, bikes, and motorcycles instead of Disney Princesses.

Jill said after their Disney on Ice fun tomorrow, they are going to go home and go to bed about five o'clock!!!

Definitely sending prayers for your family. Young kids losing their parents - that tough. Parents losing their kids - that's tough, too. There was a lady here a few months ago who was in the car with her mom, three year old daughter, and ten day old son. Her mother and her daughter were killed. She was badly injured and told she might not ever walk again, but she has just this week taken her first steps. Her newborn son had a broken leg, but nothing else. Life hands us huge heartaches sometimes, and it is nice to have others to help comfort us through those times.

Sending prayers for the family! It's such a horrible thing to go through. I hope you enjoyed the recital. I'm sure it was great. You'll have to take plenty of pictures and give a report about Vero. My husband surprised me for Mother's Day with a trip there at the end of June. Can't wait! We'll be leaving for the world on Thursday for a weekend getaway. I'm jealous that it is your last week. We don't end until the 7th.

I will continue to keep this family in my thoughts and prayers. It sounds like Brooklynn had a busy weekend so far with more fun to come! Disney on Ice sounds great! I will be going to a golf tournament with my boys. It is their first. We just want them to get used to playing golf correctly. I have a feeling Blake may have issues.:rolleyes1 Cooper loves it the most and I just want him to learn how to play correctly and have fun doing it. I do not think a 7 year old's score means much in the grand scheme of things. I am sure we will deal with many parents that do though.;) Have a great day!

I am betting I will take many Vero pictures. ::yes:: Vero itself, plus a turtle walk, a zoo, a unique restaurant (John wants to eat at Squid Lips), a pirate dinner....I will need plenty of space on my SD cards.

This has been a good year for me, so it is not one where I am at the point that I am dying for it to be over. I will miss these kids, but I am ready for the break, of course.

Aw, you'll have to give us a picture of the boys playing golf. I know they are too cute! My boys never played golf. Trent worked in a golf tournament once in about 9th - 10th grade. I don't really know what he did - walked along the course and carried things, I guess. I just remember they were having some big deal here at Old Hickory CC, and the school got some guys together to work it. I remember him talking about the huge tent full of good food they got to have. I will have to ask him what he did, exactly.

Some parents can get crazy in pretty much any sport or activity. They over invest themselves in what should be a kid's thing, and it can get heated. It's kind of sad that they lose their dignity too often and set less than stellar examples for their kids in how they handle things.

We are all hoping B will open his eyes today and begin coming out of this trauma. His vital signs are stable, so that makes me have hope that he can get better. Of course, I am not a doctor. It might not mean anything if the brain activity is not favorable.

Aha!! I figured it out!

Just had to say that those cupcakes look de-lish and that is an adorable picture of that little munckin.

To Tinkgirl - congrats on your baby boy!

To Memom - Yes I am behind AGAIN. But I absolutely loved your MK update. The park is so awesome first thing in the morning and I can't blame you a bit for playing photographer instead of riding.

Do you know I have never ridden Tomorrowland speedway. I think I need a grandson or daughter before I'll ever take the plunge. Might have to wait awhile for that.

So glad that you got to see Fantasyland and that you got to thank Deb Willis. That's pretty cool.

Gaston - that ham! Really? :rotfl:

:grouphug: Prayers to all who need them! Wishes of comfort and strength in these times of sadness. :grouphug:

CONGRATULATIONS BROOKLYNN ON YOUR GRADUATION!!!

All of the Vero Beach plans sound like so much fun....can't wait for all of the pics...by all means fill up your SD card! We will all be grateful to see them. :thumbsup2
