So Much fun for a Disney Fan-Ta-See onboard (fantasy) 9-27-14 Western Caribbean

I am taking over the FE list keeping for Sarah. Details will be posted on the facebook page but currently we have 24 cabins - 51 adults, 12 teens, 30 kids. I don't use DIS much so forgive me if I am slow to respond on here but I am checking periodically.
Thanks,
Beth

Haven't been around for awhile.....things have been so busy.
Just got back from a non-Disney cruise.
Hopefully things will calm down some now.

We were thinking of joining the FE group, but I don't do facebook at all, so if that is the way the main information is transmitted, I guess we will pass this time around. Have fun everyone.

This will be my 4th Disney cruise and 12th cruise.
I was on the Fantasy March 2013 with DD. This will be DH's first time on her.

Hello all

We are interested in joining the group but not sure who to respond to at this point. This will be our second cruise on the Fantasy and we can't wait to be back!
Smiles

Hello,
We have also joined the FE, however I do not have a facebook account. Will the information be posted on this board also? Thanks.

Everyone, sorry if I caused more confusion with my original post. You do not have to be a facebook user to be in the FE group. I just use Facebook allot more than DIS and don't even know how to attach the file here. I will still email out the list information to everyone and try to update this page with new info as it comes in.

If you want to be in the FE, you can just PM me all your information to PerryMookie. I need your DIS name, cabin number, names and ages (and sex) for all participants, any allergies or special requests, and any other info you want to share (celebrations, favorite characters, etc), and your email address. The email address is the most important so I can get ahold of you to send out the final lists.

On the facebook page there has been some discussion about group sizes (for splitting) and cutoff dates but no decisions have been made yet. My guess is we'll choose to go with groups of 15-20 cabins (you can choose how many groups to be in) and start closing groups after the PIF date (mid July) so people have time for personalized items.

Hello! Just booked this cruise while onboard the Magic last week. We'll be celebrating our 25th Anniversary (10/1/14)!

Sent a PM to join the FE - what is the fb link for that?

Looking forward to seeing you all. This will be our first time on the Fantasy - which will mean we've been on all 4 ships. We did Western once before in 2006, but then it was Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay (no Jamaica).

What excursions are folks thinking of? We are leaning towards doing Stingray City again in GC.

We had very good luck with Budget. Going to the port, we picked up at the Doubletree. I used a cab to get there (which was about $25 from AKL, it would be much cheaper from Epcot/Downtown Disney area).

I dropped off at Budget location CC5, which has a shuttle to the port. Coming back, we picked up at Budget and dropped off at MCO.

Hi Mindy,

Thank you for the tips. I am learning alot from reading the posts. Do you fly into MCO? If so, do you take the disney transportation or another company? I guess I will have to shop around, I thought $70 per person was alot from Disney.

We have been on cruises in the past prior to having kids (Carnival & RCL). This is a whole new ballgame bringing the kids though. We love Disney and try to go to WDW every 2 yrs (we have a timeshare in Orlando). We toyed with the idea of doing a shorter cruise and then spending time in the parks, but the parks aren't a relaxing vacation, you know with all the running around and lines. Have you ever cruised in September before? I was thinking it won't be too crowded with school having just started, what are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Gena

Believe this is going to be our cruise choice...... Hoping to book soon. Our first cruise -we have been to WDW - few times. Hubby, myself and our then 7year old twins. We will be celebrating 17 years of marriage! We had originally planned for the October st Thomas and st marten on the magic but really want fantasy and like this itinerary Better, especially since the Halloween at high seas is part of this cruise too. Will confirm proper way when we book but hoping we can join soon!

Hey all,

Hope everyone is well and getting excited!!! I am in full planning mode! Think we have narrowed down our excursions to the following :

1. Cozumel - Paradise Beach on our own. We intend to take a cab from the port which I've read is about $30 for the van size we will need for our group. From what I hear it's a $10 minimum spend per person on food and beverage and $15 for an activities band for the kids for the water activities such as inflatable slides/trampoline etc. I believe entry is a few dollars per person. Even with this, I think it will work out a cheaper option than Playa Mia and more to keep our kids entertained. I may even squeeze in a massage :-)

2. Grand Cayman - we are leaning towards the Reef and Snorkel DCL tour. Our kids love snorkelling but didn't want to do the Stingrays so this looks like a good option. Our baby will be in the nursery, which I am a little nervous about seeing as it's the one and only time we will be leaving him to go ashore and this is a short tour so looked like a good compromise. I'm still feeling guilty though! Parents out there, please reassure me! I know he will be in very capable hands...just the mommy guilt I guess.

3. Falmouth - doing a private excursion with Liberty Tours that will take us to the Mystic Mountain with option to Bobsled, the Secret Falls ( as opposed to Dunns) to Scotchies for some Jerk Chicken finished off with a little shopping and sightseeing. Liberty Tours confirmed this for me and don't collect payment until we arrive which is great in case we miss this port due to bad weather. So excited to have a private driver, especially with our baby which will make it more flexible.

4. Castaway Cay - nothing planned here, just relax and enjoy!

Question, I'm sure it's been asked on here but can't find the answer - what night is pirate night? Is it a day we are at Sea or in port and if so, which one?

Just trying to work out which night for Remy would be best :-)

Hello everyone, this will be our first cruise ever! I have already joined the facebook group.
We will be travelling from Uruguay in South America, although we speak spanish I'm reading the forum trying to learn from all of you.
We are family with 2 boys ages 9 and 11.
Have no idea what excursions are suggested at the ports, or the schedule with the Pirates night, elegant night, or Halloween night (not sure if there is one). Thanks for he support, best regards!

Hi everyone, This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise (Disney Magic in 2005 & Disney Wonder in 2008). We are traveling with 3 boys, ages 10, 7, and 1. It will be an adventure!! We are so excited!!

Hello fellow cruisers. We have had a lot of activity on the facebook page lately and a couple things have been decided for the FE. We will be dividing the FE list into groups of 10 cabins and you are welcome to be in as many groups as you'd like. This divide will probably happen in mid/late June so people have plenty of time to craft/shop/etc. We have the full details on the facebook page but I need a couple more things from everyone on the list. Please PM me with your name, cabin, any additional info you want added to the list, and how many cabins max you'd like to gift to (in multiples of 10). Right now we have about 30 cabins signed up.
Thanks,
Beth

Pirate night is wednesday 10/1/14. Concierge team confirmed for me

Thanks for that! Now I know which dates to try for Remy :)
Does anyone know when making a booking, do you need to have the same Castaway Club status for all parties? My husband and I have two booking numbers (two interconnecting cabins) but I am a silver Castaway Club member and he is not a member yet so I'm wondering how this will work at the 90 days prior mark.

Hello Fellow Cruisers,

Not sure if anyone else was interested but it appears the Royalton Resort Beach Tour will not be offered for our sailing.

Cheers,

DM
