So we went to WDW and stayed in AoA LM last October for 3 weeks and had the most amazing time. So.......We are now planning our next trip but it isnt until October 2016!!

What can I do now to start the planning process or keep me busy to while away over 2 years!!!!???? :confused3

It will fly by :-) To make the time go and to get my Disney fix I do loads of dummy bookings, and soon all the 2015 prices and deals will be out, this will give you an idea of what to expect. Also keep coming on here, giving others advise is a good fix as well.
Only 12 months and you can book :-)

I am not so good at giving advice as I still feel like a novice to the whole WDW thing myself. I have only been twice. :goodvibes

Youtube....I while away hours looking at WDW on youtube! Have you ever seen Phil Emma and Ben on youtube? They do excellent vids on a day to day basis of their holidays. :goodvibes
Send off for the Orlando holiday planning guide from here
http://www.visitorlando.com/en-gl/globalmagicard/?source=global
and they send you a fab little guide and magicard. I know you aren't going for ages but its a great little nugget of WDW magic to arrive on your doorstep.;) And also send off for the WDW Holiday brochure as that also comes with a good little book (well it has when we have sent off for the brochure)....
Happy planning...

When I get home tonight I might snuggle in bed and youtube the hours away. Have seen a couple of coaster vp ones which make me smile.
Thanks guys :thumbsup2

Watch disney videos on YouTube. We watch a lot of them.

Yes, YouTube is the way to go! I like to watch videos from WDW on there.

The other night we started re-watching the video from last years trip, it's nice to relive the best moments.

Reading other peoples trip reports is fun too. :goodvibes

I watch Youtube A LOT too! I also really like to just read around online, you can also get Disney planning books, unofficial but some of them are a really good read. Maybe think about where you'd like to stay, you could read trip reviews, same for dining if you're planning on doing the DDP I love reading the dining reviews on here, any excursions you might like to do, what's changed in Orlando/Disney since you last went and what might be open by the time you go (great thing about Orlando is that there's always something new!). I love Disney but I am so hyped for Diagon Alley opening this Summer, that will be really exciting when it happens.

Reminiscing from previous trips is also really sweet whilst you wait to book, it's been less than a year since we last went but I love thinking about all the funny moments of that last trip and how much fun we will have when we go next year! I love spending time with all my lovely family and friends at Disney!

Trip reports are a really good way of planning for future trips. You can see what people are doing right now and get an honest impression of what is good - albeit one persons opinion of what they think is good.
Also you tune has some good programs that have been aired in the US - I think they are called Behind the Magic or something along those lines, or just search for Disney documentaries. They are always a good watch.

It really will. We normally have a 2 or sometimes 3 year gap between our visits, and I always think that at first. I spend most of the time preparing and seeing what time of year the best deals come out and again like pp I watch a lot of Disney films.
I love the preparing and talking about "what are we going to do" or "what are you looking forward to the most" almost as much as the holiday :)

We will be going on 1st October again as the last 2 times we have been have been on 1st October. We like this time of year and love the fact we can do halloween.

I haven't had the chance to go on youtube yet as some personal issues have come up that I don't have as much relax time as I did.

I have ordered a couple of the suggested planning guides (thanks guys for the suggestions)

I've dug out all the old planning stuff I had saved from our last trip and might cast my eyes over that to see if any of it is still useful and can be used for the next trip.

:dance3:

I love browsing you tube for wdw videos and I've watched the behind the magic documentary and another about food at wdw!

Our trip is at the end of July 15 and it seems ages away. Worked out yesterday when I can book adrs (end of jan) and busy figuring out which ones to go for.

Also already thinking about a split stay for the second trip!! No harm in forward thinking ;)

I love the planning aspect, it's all part of the build up :)

I go back and look at all the videos I took of my last trip (I will video anything that catches my attention) I also have my photos as a screen saver on my computer so all my photos come up, happy memories. I also do the Youtube bit, so much fun and plan, plan, plan because you may come across a little something you may never have known about or thought about doing. I'm going back in October this year and I'm already planning my February 2016 trip, fingers crossed they do the 'One More Disney Day' for Leap Year again, I did the last one, exhausting but fun.

We will be going for 3 weeks again which is the perfect amount of time for us. 2 weeks isn't enough but anything more than 3 weeks and I think i would become exhausted. ;)

Yes, these are a big hit with DD. She has a library of documentary bookmarks. She's impressed me on a number of occasions with her insight into the history and behind the scenes of various aspects of Disney and gives credits to these documentaries. There is some really interesting stuff in there that opens your eyes to things in the parks that I certainly would otherwise have overlooked without a second thought
