We spent 10 glorious days at CBR 11 years ago.... Darn, has it really been that long? The edited video of the trip came out to be about 2.5 hours. We watched it with the kids the other night so they could get an idea what to expect next week.

DD says: "You were pretty Mommy". DH finds this hilarious. Then DS says "You were skinny Daddy". Ha!

One thing I noticed from the video - NO CROWDS! It was the 2nd week in November and I remember it being slow, but darn, there was nobody in the frame but ME! I hope it's like that next week!

2nd thing I noticed - boy was DH standing around a lot, taking videos. I told him, "Uh, you KNOW there will be no standing around next week, right? We are going to be there at rope drop to be part of the running of the bulls toward Space Mountain!" He says, "OK, honey, whatever you say. Just tell me when we get there what we are doing." Well, at least he knows who's in charge!

:rotfl:

My DH just asked me how many "sleep in" days are planned for our 11 night stay. When I told him ONE, he just about fell off the couch. Hey HE can sleep in at home, I'm in charge and WE are getting up early!!

CAN'T WAIT-----We are going this weekend for 8 days with our 2 DD's and We honeymooned for 15 days @ CBR 11 years ago this past March :lovestruc We have gone 3 times since, but this is the first time with both DD's!!! I can't wait! We will be at POP in two rooms, but I have such fond memories of the CBR--I know it is older but I don't think the boards do it much justice--we stayed at POR last time and I really prefer CBR  !! Have a great trip!!!

When my father, fiance and I went over Christmas, I told them there was 1 day when they could sleep in. My dad's jaw dropped and he asked me if I was crazy! :earseek: :rotfl2:

I explained not crazy, but we're in the most fun place on earth, and i want to do it all.

You guys are nicer than me. We never have any sleep in days. Waste of time in my opinion. "Sleep at home and savor every minute of vacation" is my motto. :flower:

Heh - everyone here is going to tell you that's impossible, but I say definitely go for it!! I did it and wasn't worn out one bit!! :)

As for the OP, I wonder how long the UN-edited version was...

I have found not sleeping at all is the easiest. :earboy2:

Ha!

I think we filled several video tapes but just put the best parts on the edited one. I was surprised at how much standing around he did, and video of me standing around waiting for him to finish. There were also lots of people standing around looking at maps, hee hee. We are going to BLOW past all those people standing around!

Definitely, you can sleep at home ANYTIME!

Mickey, here we come!

Last trip we had no sleep in days, but the family was ready for mutiny by the end of the week, so this trip, three sleep in days

Grasshopper, my son,

What is this "sleep in" you speak of?

To the parks at rope drop you will go, or Disney commando you are not.

That's what I keep telling DW. Sleep when you get home, we are at Disney.... :goodvibes

No sleep in days for us either. And DH is more of a "Get up - it's time to go!" person than me! When we go to WDW, it's all parks all the time. I just can't waste a minute of time when I'm there - so much to do and see. I almost feel guilty about going to the pool because I can go to a pool anywhere. Since we have little kids, we are able to go to bed early to gear up for the next morning.

I'm also very much of a "get up & go" person. If I said we were leaving the hotel at 8, I was ready at 7:30 itchin' to go. My dad on the other hand, would be ready early, but would sit and make me wait until 8 on the dot. He got a kick out of it, but it was shear torture to me!

I guess it was his revenge for me not letting him sleep in.

i thought we might sleep in this last trip cause no kids along but nope..6 am and "bling" our eyes would pop open.. alarm or not.funny, they don't do that normally at home:)

Sleeping in is what you get to do when there isn't a morning EMH.....a whole hours worth......Greg
