So it appears the rumor for the FD dates for 2012 was incorrect?

I see that FD was released for many dates for the rest of 2011 and into March 2012, however it looks like those of us holding out until later in 2012 have missed out on FD, at least as of now.

Apparently what happened is the dates Aug - Sept that were listed have indeed been given out to international travelers. But those of us in the US will have to wait until they make them available domestically. Usually around May 3rd.

I see. I guess I was hoping for an early release, as they released September 2012 FD dates in August of 2011.

We're going 10/16 - 10/23/11; why isn't the FD being offered for that week? Its being offered the week before and the day we leave.

I tried to book this morning based off the online info and she asked if I was Canadian...I guess Canadians can book? I'm kind of annoyed since I got up super early and I was on the phone forever. I'm hoping they were just trying to spread it out since this morning was so big. There was an earlier rumor about something on August 13, so maybe they are spreading it out?

It's showing on the Disney Travel agents site for US clients. I think that they will offer more 2012 dates later on. We are going in Nov. 2012 and it's always been offered those dates so I'm not too worried.

We were hoping for it too. Right now we are planning on going in the middle of October 2012, but could have moved up our arrival date to the end of September. I honestly don't understand how Disney decides which days to black out though. The middle of October is blocked out, but the end of March, which is in the middle of Spring Break is not.

They look at profits year to year and that blackout period may simply be a period of time when ticket sales and profits don't justify having any kind of a promotional offer.

No. It's not. Only for international visitors right now. I really wish people would stop posting comments that it is available for Aug/Sept 2012. We here domestically will see the discount around the begining of May, hopefully.

I booked for August 2011 on September 14th of 2010. I think that was shortly after it came up to the general public.
