So, isn't SSR decorated and gorgeous for the holidays?

Okay, I've looked here and there and everywhere for pictures of SSR decorated for the holidays, and just can't seem to find any. Not anywhere on the DisBoards or on allears.

So do they not decorate? I mean, they must decorate, right?

Are the decorations so subtle that it's not worth mentioning or taking pictures of? Anyone out there who happens to have pictures of SSR decorated for the holidays that would want to share them here?

I would love to see some.

SSR has lovely Christmas decorations; multiple Christmas Trees, large Poinsettia urns lining the corridors, pine bough roping, and all sorts of stuff hidden here and there. Here is one of the trees in the lobby:

It can't compete with VWL, but it has it's own flavor for the season. I'd show more pictures, but it took 25 minutes to do this one (yes, dial up don't you know!)

Check out the pictures at the link in my signature below....several of SSR at Christmas. The decorations they do have are centered in the Carriage House and around High Rock Spring Pool.... They work perfectly with the theming of the resort. Maybe not as awe inspiring as WL or AKL, but the nature of SSR is a bit more understated... We loved them!

Loved your pictures. Your description of the holiday decor is very accurate.....understated, but still very pretty. I have to say, that bald eagle was incredible! How lucky to have been there to capture that!

in my personal opinion, I am sure many will disagree, the only thing WL does better is size. So maybe size does matter.

The WL tree is impressive because it is so large, but I was not impressed with WL's over all decorations this past year, I found them to very sparse at best.

I thought BC and BCV did the best in over all decorating.

I really liked the SSR trees with the carousel decorations.

What resorts would be must sees for christmas? I am going for the 1st time but only have 4 days so I want to cram a lot in! Staying at BLT so VWL and all monorail hotels will be easy.

WL (and AKL) are pretty similar but both are amazing.

CSR for a mod is actually pretty nice

There's photos in my sig line, but they are from 2007, and I'm not sure if much has changed since then. Personally, I loved the ones at the BW, even though I do not like the resort itself. SSR had decorations that were a bit subdued. WL had nice ones, but the ones at the villas were unimpressive.
