I don't think so. He "owns" the reservation and would have to release it.
 

Now DCL can't get their story straight. The person I talked to yesterday told me right away that the check was there and would be applied in 24-48 hours.

The person I talked to today had to search for the payment, then let me know that it wouldn't be applied until the check clears :confused3 and that if I had any further questions I should contact my Travel Agent. :rotfl2:
 
I would be contacting a good attorney. This has gone too far. It really is sad that we have no rights in this mess. We can fire anyone else we hire to do a job for us but not a TA there is something wrong with this picture. I am keeping this in pray and feel that something needs to be done to change the regulation to protect the consumer. I tell you I sure feel like I am a setting duck and I believe my cruise is paid in full.

WOW, this is really turning into the "trip from hell". The worse part is your trip will be over, and you will still be fuming over this whole thing....As soon as you can, you should be booking some spa treatments! You deserve them!

I called DCL today with a question about my upcoiming cruise and I really don't think that she knew what she was talking about. Maybe you should call back and talk to a different CM.

Perhaps you should call and talk to the supervisor you were working with a few days ago (Raj?). Maybe she can give you the "real" info.

Maybe... the CM you spoke with before said 24-48 hours because a check generally clears in 2 days. They gave you that time frame because they are expecting the check will clear without issue.
 
I did call back later in the afternoon, but Raj had worked the early shift. I spoke with Jeanette and she was going to follow up today....

I was able to book the one measly excursion I needed for the 4 gentlemen in our group (I had been able to book 2 already, but booked the other 2 this morning).

There are NO Palo Brunch reservations available (luckily I put in the request for the private room, hope that comes through :worship: ). The only dinner reservations available are the first night and the last night. Oh, well.


I want to thank all of you for your encouragement and support through all of this. Thanks also goes out to those of you that tried to or offered to help.

Now I can start on my pre-trip report.
 
Get to port early and try to book Palo onboard. Glad everything finally worked out!
