In the meantime, make contingency plans for documents. You know this "travel professional" will drag his feet getting those to you. As I said earlier, there is nothing in that packet that you need to get on the ship. Do the online check-in and get new luggage tags from the porters once you are at the port.

Whew, I know you feel much better....keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that you have smooth sailing from here on out.

Great news, Tom - and hopefully the travel agency's check won't bounce!

The guy may be a pain in the you know what, but I doubt he's stupid enough to bounce a check for that amount. I don't know how much the check is for, but to pay off 3 staterooms, it must be a few thousand dollars. Bouncing a check that big is a felony in most states.

At this point, if the check bounced, wouldn't that be an issue between DCL and the TA? I mean can they hold you responsible because HIS check bounced? I would think that at that point DCL could go after him and leave you alone.

They more than likely would go after the TA for the bounced check...BUT the cruise wouldn't actually be paid off...so the reservation could be cancled and any money that's already paid LOST


Tom...I just read though some of your ordeal today (read the first few pages of the thread and the update on pg 19 )...and OMG I can't belive what you've been going through. I'm going to have to go back now and see what I've missed over the course of this whole thing. Hopefully it's all in the "clear" and you'll be on a dream vacation soon. My fingers are crossed for you... And I REALLY hope any excursions or activites (like Palo) that anyone in your group was wanting to do still have space.
