And I'm very happy to have it before our trip this weekend! :thumbsup2

It's really nice to have all of the great info Carrie compiled into one handy book that I'll be able to reference without having to go to the computer. :) All the worksheets in the back will be helpful, too, I'm sure. It even lays pretty flat despite not being spiral-bound.

I've just flipped through it and my only negative comment is that the photos in the book came out pretty badly. I knew it was going to be black and white, but the majority of the photos look like they were thrown onto a copy machine for duplication. They're dark and it's really hard to see much detail in them. The eBook blows the print one away in this respect because all the photos are in color and you are able to see all the details (and can even enlarge them on the screen if you want). If I had bought the book looking for photos of locations, etc. I'd be disappointed.

So, that's my review! Thumbs up on the overall package, but when they do another version, I really hope the publishers find a way to do a better job on the photos.

Thanks for the great planning tool, Carrie, and congratulations on the book being out in print! :cheer2:

I agree. Apparently the cost of printing the pages in color would have pushed the sales price of the book up to around $60. :scared1: I'm hoping my publisher finds an alternative in the near future, because photos are SO important to the planning process.

I'm glad you're otherwise enjoying the book, though! :goodvibes

I truly am -- your eBook has been way more helpful than anything else (including my consultant, LOL!) in the planning process and I'm so glad to now have it to carry around for easy reference. :thumbsup2

Will these eventually be available in stores like Borders, etc.? I am hoping to get one soon (already have the e-book, but spend sooo much time on the computer as it is!) and I am impatient and would rather just run to Borders and grab it instead of ordering it through passporters.

I think Carrie said on the podcast today it would be available in March through Amazon, and in March could also be ordered through a regular bookstore (like they wouldn't stock it regularly I guess). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! :flower3:

Yes, right now you can only get the printed copy by ordering it from PassPorter. It will be available to order online elsewhere (Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Deep Discount, Borders) next spring. At that time, whether or not your local store will keep a copy on the shelves depends on perceived demand for the book, but they should be able to order you a copy at no extra charge if there isn't one on hand.

I will say that I was ready to order the book because I kept thinking I didn't want something I'd have to have it only on the computer or print up all those pages... and whatever other excuses I came up with.
But, Carrie sold me on the e-book while I was on my way to work yesterday! As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, before the podcast was even over, I immediately did 3 things on my iPod... downloaded a PDF reader app, registered at Passporter, purchased and downloaded the e-book! Needless to say, I was pretty useless at work yesterday! :rolleyes1
I'll probably still get the print version as well but, I'm all over the interactive thing right now!
