FINALLY Was able to call the HOJO and find out what building I'm in... Building 2... I asked if this was the building by the freeway and the lady told me that all of their rooms face the garden so there will be no noise at all... Now, being the chicken that I am I didn't just go ahead and say "oh, that's not what I've heard" and I didn't have everything on me when I called, talk about not being prepared.

So in short folks, once again I need you! Am I in a good building??

Yes, you are. Bldg. 2 is my favorite building because even though it backs the freeway, there are no rooms that face the freeway. The building itself is very sound proof and quiet. All rooms face the quiet pool/gardens and they all have microwaves and refrigerators. We always request to stay in Building 2.

Building 1 is the only building with freeway-facing rooms.

Have a great trip!

If you're concerned about the noise from the freeway, don't worry about it. You will be fine.

We stayed in building 2 last month and loved it! We were lucky to get a room that was in a corner of the hallway and was nice and big as a result! The kids loved the pool being so close, and we had no problem getting close parking spaces right next to the entry to building 2 where the elevator is. Have a great trip!

I've stayed in bldg 2 about 4 times. Only once was there any noise from the freeway and that's because we were in a room way far in the back corner. Every other time it's been great!

We stayed in Bldg 2 during our last trip to DL and there was no freeway noise to speak off... Very quite!

Just stayed in building 2 at the back towards the freeway and never heard a thing!

I love HOJO - my daughter left her webkinz with the towels and we came back from Disney late one night and the webkinz was gone! Drama ensued and I had to promise to buy another the next day. I called Housekeeping the next morning and asked them to keep a lookout for the toy in case it appeared.

We returned late that night to find my daughter's beloved webkinz sitting on the dresser! They had found it! She was thrilled!

I stayed at CCI last year and asked them to look for something and they all but refused. My friend ended up going to look for it and found it but I was very upset with the service NOT received and we'll never stay at CCI again

Its HOJO's for us from now on! :cheer2:

Thanks all!!! That makes me feel SOOOOO much better!!!

WOO HOO Now I'm even more excited for this trip! :cool1:

This may sound a little silly but what type of rooms are in which buildings? Are all the garden facing rooms in Building 2?:)

Well you are the perfect person to ask this question of! We have stayed at HoJo's many times in the past including this past July. We felt like it was our own vacation home! We've always had good luck with the rooms, no complaints. This last visit however, we were in building 2 which we've stayed in twice before, but this time on the ground floor, right beside the main walkway. We were really unhappy with the beds, shower, and the lack of privacy. We love to use our balcony.... Anyway, this coming trip in January, we booked with CCI because of all the good things we've heard about it. HoJo's does have their premium rooms in building one available, so we could get one of those, and I know we will once again be happy with our HoJo stay. My question is, on both websites they list the square footage the same, at about 350 sq.ft. but I've read some people say the rooms at CCI are small.... so what do you think? are they smaller than HoJo's? has someone made a mistake in their measurements? thanks in advance for any help you can give me :)

HoJo's is more like a big garden with a hotel in it! It really is lushly landscaped, even in the back areas. So even the rooms that don't face the pools, have some kind of garden to look at. Their premium rooms, with the pillowtop beds, and view of Disneyland are in building one, from the 3rd floor and up. If you reserve now you should request a room not on the ground floor, it gives you more privacy. We love to have our balcony doors open to admire the garden, and let in the warm California air. Being on the ground level, we felt uncomfortable doing that. At the Howard Johnson Anaheim website, they have maps you can look at showing the buildings, you can get a pretty good idea of what you are looking at from that.
oops, should have mentioned, in all the different rooms we've stayed in, noise has never been a problem!

Thanks Smiley Face 2, I will check out the maps on Hojo's website!

I loooove Building 2! All of the rooms face towards the Garden Pool, and none of them face towards the freeway- so I think you did good! :goodvibes

Does Building two have elevators? I have heard that some of the buildings at HoJo do not.

Building 2 has 4 floors, and yes, it has an elevator. The only buildings that do not are the pavillion buildings #3-6. They are two-story buidings.

We recently stayed in building 3, second floor. It's true, no elevator. It is only a two story, but inconvenient with a stroller. It was never mentioned at check-in. Next time, I will request no 2nd floor in buildings 3-6.
