So how is this a value?

I have been checking on resort availability and pricing for the dates of my upcoming trip in Oct. A couple weeks ago there were no value resorts available. I will be staying at Pop and it has been sold out for months until last week. There was suddenly a lot of availability. Not sure how many of you were following but there was a previous thread about folks being upgraded from All-Star Music, I believe. Today there is availability but it will cost $377 per night. I thought I was seeing things or a glitch so I tried entering an extra day and the same resort came up $4 cheaper. Now maybe I am being too frugal but how do these kinds of prices constitute value? Is this going to be the new pricing moving forward? Not ashamed to say that it's too rich for my blood.

There are no suites at Pop only rooms with two queen beds. At most the op is pricing preferred pool view at the 70s section facing Hippy Dippy Pool. They are the most expensive but I have never seen them at the price he was quoted. Unreal! Can it be that Disney is holding back availability only to make it appear last minute and make you feel grateful and lucky to even find a room so you are willing to pay these extreme prices?

Sorry I should have been more clear. That price was for All-Star, and yes it was a suite. Though I looked at a 3 bedroom cottage that was $350 per night. Yes that would mean you were off property but when I think of what I could save on food alone........

But not a WDW value when you compare it to the same (or lower) price for the moderates. At that price, just do CBR if you want Skyliner access!

And this is why Deluxe is some distant fantasy for me. I can't even try to jump through the mental hoops needed to justify paying those prices. I would have to go up like two tax brackets to do that. It was hard to choke down what I paid for Pop, but I was hoping for one of those discounts everyone talks about. Ha joke was on me.

The Music Suites are a good value to many, even at that price. They are newly renovated with a nice little kitchenette, have 2 washrooms and they sleep up to 6 adults. It’s pretty much the price of getting 2 value rooms.

We liked the family suite at Music. Having two bathrooms was great and cheaper than two separate rooms

Family suites are always that much more. You're getting essentially two rooms and two bathrooms.

Disney is only comparing the hotel to their own hotels.

Tons of people don’t find the value and chose to stay offsite, nbd. All sorts of options for hotels once you leave The Bubble.

That is a nice little sweet spot actually for bigger families still wanting the on-site experience. Especially if the kids are too young for two rooms.

An ASMU suite is a totally different then just a POP room for that price. That makes a lot more sense.

It sounded to me as if OP was pricing out ASMu, not Pop. ASMu has family suites.

In terms of space and amenities, you will always get a bigger bang for your buck off-property.

As someone that needs two rooms, I don't think that's a bad price.
