just need to have a rant.....

we are staying at 3 DVC resorts for our trips in September. Because of this Disney has given us 3 seperate reservation numbers. I called today to book my ADR's but was told I could only book for the first 3 days of my trip as the next resort we move to is classed as a new booking! so for the next week I will have to call back twice more to try and get the reservations I want!

What a STUPID system, I am so annoyed by it - it took forever to get through to them and when I did I got to make 1 reservation!!!!

You would think there would be a better way for them to organise things!!!!

Rant over!

Try the online dining reservations. It is quick and easy to use. No waiting on the phone line. Cancellations are easy too.

I didn't put any reservation number and it worked fine.

I also discovered that the damn Online ADR system IS NOT accepting my DVC confirmation number!!! WHY??? I thought and was told by both CRO and DVC MS that the dining is linked so it is fair!! How is dining fair when member services doesn't open until 9am!!!

I had same problem, if you call member services they will bring up your whole
vacation and let you book dining for whole trip.Don't call WDW DINE they can't see your whole reservation

i did call member services!!!!!!

I had the same problem OP and if you see my sig I am at 3 resorts, thankfully though I only wanted 2 reservations. Maybe my timing was just lucky as to when I could book but I was able to get the dates I wanted no problem :worship::worship: however I had to call 3x... once due to my dev points reservation not being seen by WDW Dine.... so i had to call member services who couldn't see it either at first :scared1::scared1: that got fixed pretty quickly! Then I wanted Chefs de France--- but didn't realize Remy wasn't
'working' on Sundays :scared1: LOL So I had to call again to change that -- so I guess it took 4 calls in the end to get 2 reservations

:hug: I feel your pain. Last year I traveled around the same time for free dining and I was miserable trying to get reservations!

When you change villa types or locations, it's just like you went home and came back another day. It's a brand new trip, not extra days on the first one.

It is technically separate reservations and is reasonable to be treated as such. I know it seems a little unfair because if you were staying in one room the entire time it would be different and at times it's not the choice of the member to change units or resorts but it is the choice of the member to accept the separate reservations.

It's no different for DVC members than it is for cash members at a Disney resort now. Except for some isolated lucky people reports, you can only book for one reservation at a time. So split stays (which we do a lot - DVC and otherwise, even if it's just one day on the beginning or the end) are a whole new twist to the new dining system. And that's both online and on the phone with Dining or member services, from everything I've heard.

Actually when I called today, she told me that all the places I wanted to eat at were all booked up. They were the ones just outside the 90 days. Not likely they are all booked. Granted Le Cellier I get, but Jiko which I have had no problems in the past getting, or Liberty Tree Tavern? And I was looking for 1 reservation number for my entire 7 day stay.

Exactly. Except that you didn't fly back and forth across the Atlantic between check out and check in.

Just asked on another thread too, but I am staying at VWL for 8 days, but my first and last days were waitlisted. They did come through but now I have 3 reservation numbers. Does this mean that I will only be able to book the first day and then go back the next day to do it again? Thanks!

Call MS and ask to have your reservations linked (regardless). I think that might fix it but I can't remember if that will result in one reservation # or not.
