First of all, for those worried about me I did not have a coronary To avoid showing my daughter my frustration about the situation (not that she even knows what a FP is) and annoying my fiancé about "overreacting" I posted to get it out.

This is our first family trip...ever and it will likely be the last for a while. For me it's important because this trip is also for my daughter's 4th birthday and this is THE THING she is most excited about. She will certainly be upset if for some reason it doesn't happen. Also, it would be nice to have it "set in stone" a little bit with a short window to buzz through line. If we have to wait standby obviously we will, but it still kind of stinks.

Thank you to those that offered kind and encouraging words, along with pixie dust. I will be checking every day and hopefully something will open up that works for our ONLY MK day with FP available (other day is MNSSHP). The control freak in me will be elated if we get it.

Careful, you're showing your age here. Just be careful not to mention to anyone how we had to wait until certain movies came on ONCE A YEAR and heaven help you if that was the night your family had to go visit Aunt Betty who didn't believe in those new fangled telly vision things. Oh my talk about disappointment and tears!

This was the reality not that long ago, though: I'm only 29! The movie thing, though...my cousin was absolutely one of those people! I mostly taped stuff off TV (though we couldn't afford a VCR til I was maybe 10?).

Keep checking that MNSSHP day also. I was able to get A&E for friends on a MNSSHP day. The return time is something like 5:40-6:40.

I'll admit a lot of my frustration came mostly from reading so many other posts about people seeing many days and times available when their windows opened up. I expected it to be there so of course I was disappointed when it wasn't. I wish I had known sooner how the window worked because I would have planned our MK day to be our last day in Orlando but there are too many other reservations in place to move anything that majorly.

Jealous of all of you with 10+ days. Your windows must have been much nicer we are there a measly 5 days, only 3 at the parks.

Keep checking that MNSSHP day also. I was able to get A&E for friends on a MNSSHP day. The return time is something like 5:40-6:40.

It didn't give me the option to do anything for that day though because the two other days already had FP reservations. That day we aren't using a park ticket anywhere. We are doing BBB in the afternoon then going to MK right at 4 with our hard ticket. I guess I could cancel the AK FPs but would that mess things up when we try to get in for the MNSSHP? I am scared it would deduct a regular park ticket in it's place?

Not sure that makes sense.

I don't think it would mess anything up, but do you need the FP at AK? I didn't think of the number of days on your ticket. My friends have five day tickets and four park days planned plus MNSSHP. Their last day is a flex day without any plans, so they had an extra day available allowing me to schedule FP on MNSSHP night. I didn't think of that when I mentioned it, sorry.

This is what always gets me. Do people not realize that this is how all theme parks used to be? (And many still are.) You want to do something, you stand on a line. When I was a kid you didn't even know how long the wait time was. Like on the monorail thing at the Bronx Zoo, you stand back, watch the line for a minute, see how fast it's moving, then decide whether waiting is worth it to you. Such a novel concept!

No, it is the exact opposite of a novel concept. It is an outdated concept - at least at Disney, who introduced the Fastpass system 15 years ago.

Are you also offended by people who use microwaves? Or get their news from web sites instead of newspapers? Do you still buy CDs?

It's not weird to expect things to be the way they are now. It is weird to think people should expect things to be the way they were 25 years ago.

As well as those who rope drop and hop to another park later in the day, etc....there are lots of people that this new system could negatively effect if implemented the way it was in testing (all cards handed out with no spacing of distribution...with that system, once well known, sb+ tickets will.be gone faster than legacy fps ever were).

IMO they have a lot yet to.figure out before I'm willing to say that this system will be better than waiting in a traditional line. 3 hr lines are not the norm outside of maybe Christmas week. 90 mins? All the time... 3 hrs not nearly as frequent. I'd rather have the choice to wait in a 90 min line at 4pm for soarin when there is 5 hrs of operating time left for the day than be told I can't ride it at all because I wasn't there by 11am to get a sb+ ticket.

Two choices.....cancel your entire Disney trip because FP has ruined your trip or......... maybe ...........standing in line, lol.

According to the app right now (Monday 6:10pm) there is only a 40 minute wait. That is less wait than BTMR (60); Buzz (45); ETWB (55) Haunted Mansion (50) Jungle Cruise (55) Peter Pan (75), Space Mtn (70) Splash Mtn (110); Under the Sea (45).

So I guess be glad your kid likes Anna/Elsa rather than Splash, Peter, Space or BTMR, lol.

Mornings seem to be the time for the 90+ waits....as the day wears on either more "friends" are there to help, or more likely people either got in after their long wait or gave up altogether.

I have a friend on their way down, and things change so fast that its hard to know what advice to give. I'll let her know that the SB line is currently available.

Now Im off to stand in line for Elsa and Annie. We dont check in until 9.20 so I assume if I got in line today we shouldnt have too long of a wait to hug someone that will be equally as thrilled to see me as I am to see them?

But not everybody can be a winner in this game. People used to bypass that long line all the time because they didn't want to wait it out. Now if it's suddenly easier to stomach because they are handing out return cards, more people are going to take them. The attraction has a limited capacity. There is no way to make everyone winners here. All they are doing is changing who the winners and losers are.

It may be worth it to cancel your AK FPs that morning to at least check for A&E. If your party ticket is linked to MDX, you can use that ticket to schedule FP+ as well as your regulate park admission. However, you can still only carry 3 per park per day, so wouldn't be able to have any at AK that morning. Also, remember that you can only schedule b/w 4 and 7 if planning to use your party ticket. I don't think the system will differentiate the ticket types, so will likely allow you to schedule times during the entire day. Just wanted to mention that so you don't schedule something at 10 am that you couldn't use. Good luck! I schedule my FP+ next week and am worried about this exact situation. DD5 already has her Elsa dress for the trip...I will be heartbroken if I can't make this happen for her.

Also, if you do end up going this route, just make sure you use your hard ticket to get into the party, not your magic band, and nothing should get screwed up with your days. Would recommend this to anyone attending, anyway. Sending good vibes!

Of course I enjoy all modern conveniences. But even when my microwave breaks, I know there are still other, 'old fashioned' ways to cook. Not being able to enjoy the speed of a microwave doesn't mean I refuse to eat until I get a new one! And that's what we're talking about here.

You should be a winner if you are logging on at midnight on day 60. Something is wrong when people with longer trips can get multiple days when others get none. They should limit it to one per reservation. Why would you need to see them 4 times?

Sadly, Disney has turned this FP+ reservation into the attraction version of 'Ohana or Be Our Guest. It's so hard to get the reservation that when you log on at 60 days out and see openings on multiple days, you grab them and plan your days later (and cancel the FP+ reservations you won't use). Two months out is too far for some people to have day-by-day plans, and maybe people will begin to adapt to planning earlier in the coming years. But when you're up at midnight and you see a couple of different reservations that could work with your plans, you're not going to start rearranging your days if you don't have to.

I know, I know, it's not fair to other people to take more than you need. But at midnight at 60 days out, I can't imagine many people are worried about the greater good. Disney created this monster, not your fellow travelers.
