So freaking disappointed...UGHHHHHHHHH

Sorry you were not able to get AE. Our 60 day window was last Tuesday. I was up around 6:30 and hopped on line since I had some time. I was able to get everything we wanted. We have a boy so did not need AE. However, our first day in MK was showing no availability while our second day there was still showing times available. I agree with the others, keep trying and play around with the size of your party. Good luck!

We had the same issue since our MK days are at the beginning of our trip. Yesterday I was finally able to score one for 9/24 so keep checking!!! Now I just need to get BOG and we will be set :)

If you are doing the Disney Cruise then I wouldn't worry about trying to see them in the parks. We were on the fantasy in Feb and we met Anna with only a 30 min wait. Go on the cruise boards and ask around if both girls were meeting now on the ship. I think you have a better chance of meeting them there than in the parks.

They're currently doing special appearances on cruises that are 7+ days.

I got on last night as our FP window opened and there was ZERO avail for A&E all three days we're at the parks, grrrrrrr (got everything else, but probably didn't need to wake up specially)!
For PP's who said to book 1 or 2 if you see it... let's say I find a single FP for A&E. Can that be DD's FP selection, and I'm just there to hold her hand? I don't need to be in the pictures... not sure how that would be looked upon. She's 3YO, if it makes a difference?

Everyone over 3 needs a FP to enter the line. If she were 2 it would work...

Everyone entering the queue must have a FP+ for that attraction. You could try talking to the CM and pleading your case if you are only able to snag one, but they do not have to grant you entrance if only DD has the FP+. Once you have the 1, you can always try to "copy" her plans to you.

You can't book one at a time when you are making FP selections for a child under 7 years of age. They have to be booked with someone 14 years of age or older. I'm running across the same thing in finding an A&E FP for my 4 year old for our trip in 43 days. Yeah, I've seen single ones available, but why am I going to go in by myself or have DH go by himself? The system won't let me book DD alone. Pointless for us unless I can find 2 together.

So freaking disappointed...UGHHHHHHHHH 60 day window opened today. No A&E...one of the biggest things my almost 4 year old is looking forward to. How are standby lines now a days? Better during the evening?

I want to cry. :sad1:
Sorry to hear you were freaking disappointed. I have been regular disappointed at times with things at Disney World, but have always survived. You and your 4 year old most likely will also.

Literally a college kid in a fancy dress. That's all it is. Why some people get so worked up over it is beyond me.

You should book one and then see if another one with overlapping slots opens and grab it.

I was not looking for A&E as we are two adults traveling. But they were open everyday of our trip Sept 26 - Oct 3 when our 60 day window opened.

So weird to hear they have not been for all these folks who really want them :(

I couldn't get them either. But keep checking! There is even a cancellation thread on here for A&E and SDMT. I hope your princess gets to see them!! princess:
Can you post a link to these threads? Tried searching, but obviously I didn't have the right combination of words! TIA!!!

Here's a thought.....

If you are going during a MNSSHP day, there are no fast pass+ after 7:00 pm. (in the computer) I think people might be able to get them at the kiosk however if you are in the Magic Kingdom Park early that day and you have used up your other 3.

There is no indication that additional FP slots become available day of.

The only hope at this point is to keep looking and find a slot they missed before, or one that comes open when someone shuffles plans around. Or if they add A/E to MNSSHP, buy a ticket and go.

Is there anything at WDW that couldn't be broken down in a clinical manner? Do it enough and you'll begin to wonder why you ever go.

I do that often, and I still go once a week. I just don't see the point in having a coronary over something that can easily be explained as 'that's life, and it sucks at times'. We all survive.

You go once a week. So of course things are not a big deal to you if you miss it. For somebody who's having the first time trip or doesn't get to go often it could be a big deal.

But aren't you glad all those people crazy enough to care line up to meet them, leaving fewer people in front of you in line for something else?

No need to come here and chastise the OP.

It's also possible that by the time the OP is able to get back to WDW, her kids will be too old to care about meeting the characters. It's just a completely different perspective from someone who gets to go every week.

OP, keep us posted. I sure hope you get FPs! :thumbsup2
