Ever since seeing that there was the possibility for a $200 gift card bonus for the Premier Disney Visa card, I've been waiting it out and hoping to get that offer in the mail. I've taken bits of advice from these boards and have saved and deleted reservations on their site, ordered the vacation planning DVD, and even joined the Blu-ray club (that was a good idea/deal for us anyway). Lo and behold, today I got the holy grail of Visa offers in the mail! BUT, it was even better than I expected! Instead of $200 for the Premier card, which nets to $150 with the annual fee, it was a $200 offer for the regular Disney rewards Visa. Sooooo excited!!!!!

Thanks! It totally made my day! Now I'm wondering if hubby can get his own. I mean, we both have our own Discover cards and Amazon Visa cards. I'm hoping we can both take advantage of this offer (the offer was addressed to our last name rather than either one of us) because $400 off our trip would be AWESOME!!!!! :cool1: Now if they would just kick in the free dining for Feb, I'd really be :cloud9:

congrats! I am so hopeful that I will get one, but nothing yet....
I already have 2 chase cards, so not sure if they would be trying to actively get me on board with a third - lol.

I would say yes, you could still get one. I have an Amazon Visa through Chase and my hubby has the same as well as a Chase Slate (he doesn't use it but it's just been sitting around for a long time). Anyhoo, we both already have Chase credit cards but we still got the offer. So there's hope for you! :)

Yeeha! My hubby got his card too! $400 off our trip ... I am WAY, WAY, WAY excited about that!! :cool1:

Awesome!!

Has anyone just called Disney Visa and ask if they could get the promo if they applied or is it exclusively to people who get the invite by mail?

Last year you had to get the offer by mail. It may have changed so it is probably worth a call to Chase Disney.

I tried calling initially but you had to have the code from your mailing. I think I inadvertently tossed one out previously (before I knew we were going back in Feb). I had only heard of the $200 offer for the Premier card - the one with the $49 annual fee so I can't believe we actually got the no annual fee one with that deal. We do have to put $500 on each card within 3 mths but that's easy. We'll put part of the trip on one and just use the other for groceries etc. until we hit $500. Good luck! Hope you get one too. :)

For anyone going to wdw, check your room. For us there was an offer in the room that was double the public offer.

Woo hoo! That's awesome! I've gotten the visa offer twice now and got denied both times. Ugh at student loans making my credit horrible.

My MIL got an offer for the Premier Visa, no annual fee the first year with a $200 gift card for the main card and $50 gift card if she added an authorized user (after purchases on both cards)!

I think I'd jump on that! I get CC offers all the time but never from Disney Visa.

That sounds great! I hate how it's so inconsistent though. You never really know what to jump on and what to pass on. I was just about to finally succumb and go for the $50 credit when I finally got my offer. Same thing with PINs - you never know when you have one, everyone's is different ... kind of crazy. :confused3

Just wanted to confirm that this did indeed work! Hubby and I BOTH got $200 gift cards in the mail from our offer! :cool1: So if you get an offer and are so inclined, sign up for 2 and you'll get double the rewards. And in case anyone is wondering (b/c I was), the gift cards go out after you spend the required amount, not after the period they give you to do it. Ours was $500 within 3 mths and I worried that the gift cards wouldn't arrive in time if they waited the full 3 mths, but they didn't. I just put $500 of the vacation on one and the GC came pretty quickly thereafter. AND you earn rewards on those $$ as well. So, really, we got $410 back. :)

I went ahead and signed up using the $100 statement credit for the Premier Visa but I called the other day and asked if I could get the $200 credit or gift card. I told the lady that I never directly got the offer but have been reading online that it has been offered to people and I was just wondering if I could get it. The lady said she would pass the request on to the marketing department and I'd get an answer within 10 - 14 days. She said all they could do is say no...which is exactly what I thought and why I called to at least ask!

Fingers crossed!!

Is the gift card good anywhere or just Disney stores and locations?

Thanks!

It's a Disney gift card, so you can use it anywhere Disney.

That's awesome that they put in a request to their marketing dept b/c I had called prior to receiving my offer and was just told a flat no. They said I had to have an offer code and there was nothing they could do without one. Hopefully you'll get one! Mine was for the regular Visa so I didn't even have to pay the $49 annual fee. :) Of course, I don't get the 2% rewards with it, but that's okay b/c I have other credit cards w/ better rewards. In fact, figuring out what credit card to use in what situation is soon going to make my head spin! LOL Grocery store and gas = Amazon Visa for 2% back, anything online until the end of the year = Discover for 5% back, and everything else = Disney Visa until I reach my $20 in rewards. :crazy2:
