I just got off the phone from adding dining to my reservation and the cast member that I was speaking to was, for some reason having trouble inputting my mailing address. She said, for some reason, some information does not carry over to their system when a reservation is made online.

However, after several attempts to give her my address info, (my mailing address is a PO box), she said "it shouldn't matter as Disney World does not send mailings internationally".

Is this right? I assumed that I was mailed a booking confirmation once full payment was made on the reservation. In addition to this, We will be using magical express, don't they mail us out luggage tags or something? (even if we can't use them because we're "international"). Don't they mail out KTTW and just activate when you arrive?

I'm confused... I know that my booking is in Disney's computer, but it will feel pretty weird traveling so far without any "official documentation" short of my computer print outs....

As you can tell... First trip, little nervous. Hopefully the more experienced Canadians here can help me understand.

I have never had a problem receiving what they send me. For example, I had a room only ressie and the email address (I latter found out) was incorrect. So that email confirmation you should get after making a ressie was mailed to me via Canada Post. I have package vacation booked for next month and just received by Mickey Mail with luggage tags and all! I can see how maybe a PO Box is hard for her to enter but that shouldn't mean it can't work. Sorry I can help with different info.popcorn::

I have a canadian po box, in the most remote of remote locations, newfoundland! and i received my complete booklet with vouchers that you expect to get, now just have to wait 25 more days!

Huh... Well I guess I'll have to call back in to the reservations line and see if I can't figure out why it doesn't like my address. They said something about, it can't be linked to "mapquest" which is weird, cause I can find it on mapquest online.

Anyhow, thanks for the help everyone, at least now I know that Disney DOES in fact mail up to Canada and the cast member was just likely misinformed.

Some Canadian addresses can't be entered into US systems, either because they're too weird (Rural Routes for example) or because the address is not in whatever database they use (it could be old or corrupted or the database has just not recently updated ... for example, even though the area I live in was built 5 years ago 90% of GPS don't have it in their database, probably because it's a relatively small area). When we first moved into our house, 2 years ago, Canada Post's database said our address didn't exist ... a bit of a surprise since our neighbours had been getting their mail for 2 years!

In the event you do not receive your ME tags, simply collect your baggage and go to the ME counter and let them know you didn't get them. They'll take your bags and get you to your destination ... it's a bit more hassle, but they will still have your reservation.

It's still a good idea to verify that your reservation has been made :thumbsup2

Disney has a Canadian Mail distribution location where the Canadian materials are sent out from -- (and its a 5 minute drive from my house!!)

We always get our tags and reservation booklet mailed without problem -- (and this year we even used the US Free Dining promotion which started a day earlier than the Canadian Free Dining promotion) without a problem.

We got our Mickey Mail on Monday -- ME tags and Luggage Tags!
