I guess I haven't really followed the sentencing process. I mean I know he's old, but I was sort of shocked how short the sentence was...

He's been sentenced to 3 to 10 years but I've no idea what that means in actual time served for PA.
I appreciate many of the good times he gave us as a nation but do not forget or condone his criminal acts; one doesn't wash the other for entertainers anymore than other members of society.
I hope his long-suffering wife who has paved her way in society without his help kicked his "stank butt" before he was carted off to jail and I hope the same is true for others in different fields who will never make it to jail.

Treating other humans as trash is just wrong.
Also boasting about it on tape and then defending other bullies and possible offenders when you should shut your ignorant narcissistic mouth and reflect on your self serving lifestyle.

He did a college tour stint I think around 2004,2005 where he gave a message to students, mainly young black students, how they should own up to Fatherhood if they get their girlfriends pregnant. My daughter was working security at the auditorium at the time at Northern Michigan University in Marquette MIchigan.. She said after his speech he looked out into the crowd and was stumped to see mostly 95% white students. He made a comment that he thought the school was in Detroit. He had no idea he was in the UP, he really felt he was down in Detroit. She said he swore and walked off the stage. At the time he had to be around 66 years old. I remember my daughter calling and telling me about his bizarre behavior.

I think it just proves that you really do not know anything about celebrities, it just proves how well they do their job by acting as someone else.

I know she's defending him and although I find that behavior baffling and am still sorting it through mentally..I sort of get it too.
Decades of living with his craziness can wear a body down I suppose.
Doesn't change her individual accomplishments or does it?

I understand that it's an absolute minimum of 3 years before he's eligible for what they're calling "supervised release" (I guess parole or a halfway house). I don't think it's like federal prison where the terms are fixed, but there's uniform credit for "good time".

Ah, Camille. Since allegations came to light (beginning many years back), to me, her behavior has been one of the most interesting things about this. I know what you mean - she and Bill have been benefactors for many great causes, and she's obviously a very smart woman, even going back to earn her doctorate as an adult. She raised four or five children and suffered the losses of two of them. It was even tempting to admire her fierce loyalty to Bill. But then I started reading through some of the reports once legalities became published, and one in particular took me aback, which was that she was actually present in the house when at least one of these attacks occurred. Whoa. (Think about that!) Apparently she had learned to look away when Bill had extramarital relationships.

Did she know the extent of what was happening? I don't know. She's been mostly silent on the matter, even under questioning, generally invoking marital privilege. But we're asked to believe that someone as intelligent as her, who was actually Bill's manager, and not just some wife who went off and lived her own life very separate from her rich and famous husband, didn't know what was happening when even he admitted to drugging and attacking many women over many years? She claims she didn't read or watch the news and only got her information from him. Really?? It sort of doesn't pass the smell test, you know? I do think she's probably been in denial in a big way, which I can sort of understand where her whole life is wrapped up in a being a certain way and having a certain image. But then insisting that Bill is the victim of a lynch mob?

And apparently threw him a very lavish birthday party recently at their home -- where he was ostensibly on house arrest. The kids on house arrest in our delinquency program for much lesser offenses would probably wind up having their house arrest rescinded for anything remotely near that.

She's welcome to create whatever artful reality she needs to sleep at night. She's not permitted to thumb her nose at the court or the legal system. Her extreme reactions raise serious questions in my mind.

Unfortunately, coming forward is an exhausting process and a threat to one's reputation and life. Even with everything we've addressed this past year with the #MeToo movement, we are currently watching two women being attacked for finally reporting their assaults. The speeches of some of Cosby's victims should really be required reading for those who refuse to get it.
