we are so bummed that we did not get seven dwarfs mine train. Any suggestions? We will be there for rope drop but have heard they're still can be a long wait because everybody runs to it. Also, any suggestions on touring plan? We got 1030 -1130 for thunder mountain and 1:30 for space mountain and 830 for electrical parade. We are a group of 10.

I tried to do a touring plans but when I put in our fast pass times it says it won't work....

You all have been so helpful!

Did you try breaking up your group into smaller numbers to get the 7DMT? When we went with 5 of us I had to break it into 4 groups so it looked like this:

(not these exact times but for example)
person 1 - 1130am - 1230pm
person 2 - 1140am - 1240pm
person 3 - 1150am - 1250pm
persons 4&5 - 12pm - 1pm

So we had an overlap of 12pm - 1230pm where we could all ride together.

Keep checking as sometimes availability will come up. Breaking up the party size is also a good idea. You won't lose your currently booked fastpass until you lock in the new one.

Did you book at your 60 day window? I just made mine Tuesday Morning for our march trip, right at 60 days and got every time and date i wanted.

I feel bad for you. We will be at MK 3 days and I got 7DMT 1x each day since it is new for us.

I wouldn't waste a fp+ on Electrical parade. We were there in June and simply just found a spot about 1/2 hour before it started and it was fine.

Is this the only day you are at MK?

Seven Dwarves
Splash Mountain
thunder Mountain (10:30 fp)
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Lunch
Space Mountain (1:30)

In the end if you can't get FP+ for your party - get in line a half hour before the park closes and your wait will be about as short as it is going to get.

What day? Last time I had a fast pass it was actually longer to wait for the fast pass than the 20 min stand by line.

We rode it using FP one day then our last night we did a few rides after Wishes of which 7DMT was one. We waited a few minutes to ride but it couldn't have been more than 10 minutes or so. It was actually nice to see the themed line area.

oh! great point! I'll have to try that!

There are other options to ride 7D with a short wait without FP+.

Last summer, we found a 10 minute actual wait on 7D right after wishes. The posted wait was 80.

During opening week in 2014, we were able to ride twice in less than a half hour right before the park closed. The posted wait was 60. That happened to be right after an A&E visit with a 10 minute wait (posted wait was 90). A&E plus 7D twice in about 40 minutes seemed to be a really efficient use of our time.

The lines at the shortest late at night, but just keep in mind that the posted waits are often greatly exaggerated.

Ditto. Try breaking up the party. I did my FP last night for our party of 4, and I got every single ride and time I wanted.

Yeah, it's like impossible to get FP for 10 at the popular rides. That doesn't mean you can't get FP just not 10 at one time slot.
Keep trying with the overlapping option and I bet you can all ride

I would try and maybe make an early AM ADR at either Be Our Guest or Crystal Palace. When we were there last year at spring break time we had an 8AM ADR at Crystal Palace and were done there by 8:45AM we didn't head to 7DMT bc my son wanted to meet Merida so we waited in her line afterwards. We actually had forgotten something at the hotel so my hubby had to run back and he took the baby...anyways I had a FP for 7DMT at 9:30 but we didn't know if he would make it back in time. We did have a DAS for my son so when we got to 7DMT (this was at 9:30) we got a return time for it as well on the DAS so my hubby could ride it as well. At that time the stand by line was only 30 minutes so I figured if we had just gone there in the 1st place it would probably be a short wait or minimum wait.

I'd get rid of the 8:30 PM parade spot so that you have the chance of getting more FP+ during the day. If you can't snag FP+ for 7dmt then still do it first thing, or at the very end of the night - but watch to make sure that they don't close it before the park closes!

Don't cancel it. You struggle to get back the 3rd doing that.

What I would try is to go to the App and select the parade FP, 1 or 2 of the members of the party and see if you can change that FP to 7DMT. Use the app because it's easier to select only some members when changing a FP.
Once you do that keep going 1 or 2 members at a time till you get everyone overlapped.
If you can't get someone to overlap, get them as close as you can and keep looking. It will be easier to move around 1 or 2 at a time.
Remember, anyone 6 and under will need to have their FP booked with someone older. If they are 7+ you can book them 1 alone. At least that's how it was before DGD turned 7
And don't forget to figure on the grace period if you need it. That gives you 5 min before and 15 min after each FP time slot too

I would get there early and wait in line for it! I wasn't able to get a FP on our last trip, but the queue and the ride are so fun it was worth it to wait instead of skipping it!

Week of will be your best bet for getting them, and even day of. The week prior to Christmas (and even the first few days of Christmas week) I was able to get 7D passes for 3-4 people multiple days before 10am.

I would definitely recommend breaking the group up, you'll have better success. With 10 people you'd basically have a train to yourself.

Keep trying. It's the most popular ride but you'd be surprised. 3/4 of us (my mom doesn't do ANY coasters) got it twice during Christmas week.

We have done 7DMT at rope drop several times and it has always been a walk on for us. We usually get there at and hour (or 45 min if we are running late) prior to rope drop, and stand by the right side tunnel. In our experiences it was a very organized walk and no running or pushing to get there. The later you get there though, the further back you will be with the crowd walking, I suppose. For us its worth it to get there that early :)
