So annoyed! **SORTED**

How terrible - I had an unfortunate occasion with a hotel one year when we turned up at Yosemite to be told the TA had cancelled our room:scared1: We ended up paying on our c/c for the last room available and having to reclaim from the TA when we returned - so unfortunately this does happen :sad2:

I hope you can get it sorted before you fly out:)
 
:rolleyes::sad1::sad2: i personally rang Thomas Cook Signature this morning and they said that they will pass it on to their Accomodation dept :rolleyes: so i took the ladies name and dept and also the time i called, she said we will get back to you within 72 hours :rolleyes:

Then i called my TA and spoke to the same lady as yesterday she said she had rang them this morning and apprentley Thomas Cook signature are sending their rep round to the HRH to check the booking?!?!?!?!And they will get back to me by Monday. :sad2:

I mean i have checked the booking by phone with the confirmation number given to me by TCS and it definate cancelled!! Don't they use phone i am getting really angry now as they don't listen ARGH!!!!!

I'm just going to ring HRH again to see what they say today.
 
Just sent an Email to The TA where i booked. pointing out the details and explaining everything.
HRH managed to give me a date the room was booked and the date it was cancelled and also who cancelled it.

Hopefully they will start helping abit more!

Who did cancel it (please excuse my nosyness)? Was it TC as suspected? I think you should demand an explanation from them as to on whose authority this was cancelled.

Well HRH only had a name S.Matos?! so i assume someone working for TCS so i have told my TA the name and hopefully they will look into it *fingers crossed*
 
I wonder if that is a person at your local TC branch or at head office? What I found sad with TC is that every member of staff in my local branch, without exception, was wonderful. It was the elusive ones out of the public eye who seemed to cause the problems and then do a Houdini when you tried to get a hold of them! Keep us posted. The do have to resolve this for you. I don't suppose they told you there was a substantially reduced outstanding balance when you went to pay yesterday. I just find it incredible that you booked it and were invoiced for that accommodation, yet not only did they not tell you that it had been cancelled (for goodness knows what reason), but nobody actually came back to advise you of a proportionate rebate.

I just remembered I had the opposite problem last year. Booked the Hilton at Machester airport (we live in Scotlant) then changed my mind and decided to go with the Raddison. They cancelled the HIlton, charged me a £7.50 cancellation fee and I booked the Raddison myself as they didn't have it on their system. When I got my tix etc, they gave me a confirmation for the Hilton, receipted as fully paid?!?!?!?
 
I feel sorry for the TA staff because i feel like im being such a pain and they probs hate me lol! but TCS will only sort problems out through the TA grrrr.
The balance was just the same as when we booked it. I've had no email reply today so hopefully Monday :thumbsup2
 
If they dont email you back on Monday, send them a reminder that you are still waiting for your reply. Regarding being a pain, I expect the agents will understand. And if anyone doesn't, they will get over it .... or at the very least, shortly be distracted when the next person storms in the door with their grievances ....:rotfl2:
 
I do hope you get this sorted. Whilst I have also had problems with TC ( will never return) 2Tiggies asked the first question which came to my mind, who cancelled TC or HRH? Whilst I would like to blame TC it could be a mix at at Lowes.

TC must have the booking reference with Lowes or Universal, as someone else suggested get TC to ring them whilst you are there and don't take no for an answer. My advice is visit TC during lunch time, when they are likely to be busiest, they will not want other customers to hear of problems (very bad for business).

Also if you have the booking reference email Hard Rock, when they reply by email you will have documented evidence that the room has been cancelled. This will be very important to share with TC to get your point across and you will have more evidence should you make formal complaint via ABTA. Also if Hard Rock have messed up TC should then be able to sort it out.

Last year I had my dollar bank account debot card rejected. When I phoned the bank thye told me that I had no funds, last transcation was $900 :scared1: I guesed HRH had debit my account with the credit limit for my room, they assured me they didn't "we don't do that sir". Spoke to bank about fraudulent use of my account (at extreme stress) and of course you can guess what had happened :mad:

It is there responsibility to get this sorted out, not you ringing TC yourself.

Speak to the TA manager and tell him or her in no uncertain terms that this needs sorting and you hold them responsible.

I agree, the TA really needs to undertstand that they have to sort it out.
 
No news :( I rang yesterday afternoon as I had no reply to my email and she said how weird I was just emailing you back ( yea course you were ) she still said the room is defo booked she spoke to tcs and they have no clue who a s. Matos is?! And she said they are still waiting for a rep to go to the HRH to check it out!
I mean it's not rocket science really is it?!? Just call the hotel people!!!!!!!!! Lol
