Before I get flamed it was an accident that I ended up on the club level floor at the RP

While I was on the elevator, a couple got on that did not understand that they needed to put their room key in before they pushed floor 7, so I helped them, and this other guy on the elevator started to tell me I was doing it wrong, and lo and behold, I missed my floor listening to him...

So when we did get to floor 7, I got off just to check it out. A couple was walking to the club room, and I just followed them in...

There were not many people in there at about 9pm I think it was.

1) Is it really crowded in the a.m. with people wanting coffee and breakfast?
Is there a nice selection of foods to choose from in the a.m.?

2) When you go in the afternoon do they have any beer or wine there :teeth:

3) My room rate was $220 per night(which included park tickets for three), I stayed for four nights but I think I would have had to pay $260 per night to go club level--we had a fridge in our room, and we are kind of milk and cereal people anyway, but a little variety would be nice.

4) How do you get "upgraded" to club level for free? I'm a Loews member, but just blue. I think we have only had 9 nights in the last four years.
Thanks!

The club room can get packed at various times, especially the morning, when people go there with pajamas on, raid the food, and take it back to their rooms for others. This has been discussed on these boards many times, hopefully people understand to be nice and think of others.

The "bang for your buck" factor depends on how many people are in the room. On our stay, we brought two coolers, ate cereal, but still ate at the breakfast places in the parks like Crossiant Moon Bakery in IOA and a similar place in USF near the San Francisco area. The wife always gets hungry and wants a light snack.

If you can pack the coolers and don't mind carrying them up to your room, then do it. Some people don't like to bother with it, so for them, club is worth it.

As for being upgraded, I think it's luck. Some people get upgraded to better rooms, but I've barely heard of someone getting a club room as an upgrade. Only if their reservation is messed up, and something really bad happens, will someone get club for free.

1) Depends on your definition of nice selection! At RPR they have a continental type breakfast with some additional items. RPR offers the hot cinnamon rolls - yummy! IMO, breakfast is the most crowded.

2) Yes, yes and more yes! happy hour starts promptly at 5 and ends at 7. Amstel light and corona i know are offered along with wine. We nicely take advantage of this perk.

3) My family is a family of six (two parents, myself, and my three brothers). For us, it is completely worth it. The complimentary water and beverages during the day are what makes it for us, not to mention the happy hour. Then again, we have enough people to make it worthwhile and we are now all adults. McDonalds multiplied by six get expensive for us! Now we have added two sister in laws, a niece and two nephews so club makes sense for us. We also spend a lot of time at the resort, so we can take advantage of the club perks. Club also gives you a break on the cabana rentals which we use too.

4) How do you get "upgraded" to club level for free? No clue. Never had it happen to us. Don't know of anyone that has been able to.
