This week has been one for the records for my family, and not in a good way. On top of the monumental snowfall, DH found out his Dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, DD has a double ear infection and DS was diagnosed with pneumonia this morning. Um, please God, my hands are officially full now. You can give me a break whenever you feel necessary.

Holy cow! You've had quite a week! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers!

Just got back from my scrapbooking weekend! I had a blast! (got a lot done too - 78 pages!) I'm way behind on DISing though and we're going out tonight.
Good thing I have the day off tomorrow! Hee Hee!

Just got back from my scrapbooking weekend! I had a blast! (got a lot done too - 78 pages!) I'm way behind on DISing though and we're going out tonight.
Good thing I have the day off tomorrow! Hee Hee!

Congrats that you got so many pages done!!! I'm so jealous of individuals that can scrapbook! I'd love to be able to scrapbook. I don't know what stops me, but, well, you know. I have a friend that goes to those weekends...she lives about 3 hours from me. Maybe I need to tag along once!

We are here in Disney.... enjoying our rather cool stay.... although it is nice today... Magic Kingdom is crazy paced right now .... my boys are playing golf so I decided to come back here and enjoy the balcony.... absolutley loving the Shades of Green again... the rooms are HUGE, total redone... couldn't ask for better. We are overlooking the pool and the putting green.... perfect location....

Last night we went to Victoria and Alberts to celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary - yes we did get married on Valentines Day... it was the most amazing meal I have ever had... will post photos when we get home....forgot the cord for my camera....

Just waiting for DS's girlfriend and her family to arrive.... looking forward to a wonderful day!!!

Has anyone else been having issues with the DIS? It keeps making me log back in even when I tell it to remember me. Driving me nuts!

Luckily, I haven't had that problem, but I haven't been on the boards much today. I didn't go to bed last night until 3 AM and then I had to be up at 6 AM to get the boys off to school. After I got them to school, I drove to Chick-fil-A for breakfast. I went to bed for just a small nap just after 10 AM. Then my hubby let me sleep while he went and got the boys.

Thank goodness! I was going crazy. I thought it might be my work computer, but it's never done that before on any computer. Grrrr.

Oh well. I'm enjoying watching the winter olympics. I'm a big figure skating fan, as I used to be a figure skater when I was young. I used to have to record and/or watch EVERY competition that was on t.v. all winter. Now I simply don't have the time to clear my schedule like that. But for the Olympics, I make time.
Waiting for them to come back to the men's short program. Showing snowboarding. Which my DD8 wants to learn!!! She was sledding this weekend and tried to stand on a sled and she actually did it for a bit! Might have a new sport in her future. Wonder how expensive snowboards are!!!

Ok, so it's not just me and my amazing computer skills .

Ha!! I thought it was my computer since it is frying!! But, apparently not! It did it to me earlier when I did my TR update...I was logged in, then when I hit submit, it said Log In. so, I did,...then it said something weird about a new window...would NOT take my update so I had to do the whole thing over!!! And I am rushing throught this so I can get my pics updated before the screen goes out... I get no warning...just a black screen. So... i was super frustrated with that! Anyway.. got my TR caught up until the last day, so go check it out!!!! Hope that this gets fixed soon..anyone elses not keeping them logged in over the last few days?

That is so cool you figure skated as a child. I can't skate at all. I tried once in middle school and I fell and hit my head on the ice. Then as an adult I decided it was a really smart idea while I was the Field Trip Director at a day care to take the kids ice skating (an again I can't skate). I would love to be able to skate, but since I fell as a kid have had an irrational fear of it. I was able to get used to in-line skating since we took the kids at the daycare every week in the summer.

I love the snowboarding!! I would love to have Shaun Whites hair. He has to have the prettiest head of hair that I have ever seen on a man.

I want to share something with everyone. I just finished my first scrapbook EVER!!!! January Disney trip is now complete. I've had all the materials (photo album, papers, stickers) but I just didn't know what I was doing. My mom came over on Wed and gave me a crash course. Now, I'm completely addicted! I worked on it for about 3 hours on Wed and Thurs and then I spent about 2 hours today. I can't believe I finished it! Now, it's time to start my June Disney trip. I have TONS more pictures from that trip, so who knows how long that one will take. Old Navy only gave me one day next week, so I'll have a lot of time on my hands!

It has definately been fun reliving our Jan trip, but it makes me want to go back too! Tony and I talked about another trip last night. I got a 20/30/40 pin in my email the other day and I called yesterday to price things out. Free Dining would be a better deal, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! He didn't shoot me down right away, so that's a good sign. There are other things we could spend the money on (such as a new car for me), but Disney trips are so much better!

Wendy- Hope you're having a wonderful time! I'd love to be on a balcony overlooking a pool and putting green. My view is still SNOW!!!! I don't think it's ever going to melt!

We are home... it was a rather chilly week... but it didn't stop us from doing anything... well except swimming perhaps... but we did enjoy the hot tub!!!! The parks were pretty busy and the lines sometimes were very long.... but we were able to use fast passess and didn't wait more than 30 minutes for anything.....

Really enjoyed our dinner at the Yatchsman.... DS ate the 24 oz porterhouse and then some of his girlfriends fillet....the boy can eat!!! We really need to do the dining plan with him...lol... our meal at BOMA was excellent as well. The only place that we felt was fair was Marrakesh... we have eaten their before and really enjoyed it... maybe because it was our last meal and the others were so amazing it was a bit of a let down....

Shades of green was fabulous to stay at... huge, clean rooms with a perfect view of the pool and golf course... wonderful staff as well.....

Welcome back!! glad you had a good trip. You can't do anything about the weather anyhow! WOW a 24 oz steak? I'd never be able to do that! He would definitely get his money's worth out of the dining plan!
