Happy Monday. So glad I finally have a day off. I've had to work the past 10 days. If I didn't have a day off I'd have probably strangled someone. On Saturday my co-workers and I decided it was National People are Idiots Day. At one point we kept a tally board in the back for the things that we heard....it was rather entertaining after a while.

So today I'm doing laundry and this afternoon I plan to lay outside in the sunshine :goodvibes. I apparently need to get myself exposed to the sunshine to prepare for Hawaii :cool2:.

Well everyone have a great day. Happy Disney Planning for those of you who can. My only planning is for Disneyland in July. At least it's better than nothing, right.

Hey Becca! Nice to hear from you! I bet you're getting pretty excited about the baby! It looks like it will be while I'm at WDW! Is Missouri that different than Kansas? I guess they are big enough states that it could be!

Red - you work too hard woman! I get a lot of the People are Idiots too. I guess if they weren't, I would not have much work to do here in court, would I??
Enjoy the sunshine. It's cloudy here and probably headed your way! My DH is going to the Twins game tonight and I told him to dress warm - it's going to be windy and about 50!

Sarah- Congrats to your DH qualifying for next year's run!

Shawna- Maybe I'll call Disney and ask if they will let me come for free- at least I'd be able to hear "Have a magical day!" It might not sound the same because the CM will be too busy laughing at my request.

Mindy- Stick with your mother's intuition. Hope you get it figured out and he's feeling better soon. Too cute about your DS saving his money for the Lego store. My DS talks daily about how wants to save his money and buy more Legos. Must be a boy thing! ;) Hope your doors have arrived!

Meghan- Woo Hoo for Free Dining!!!!! Finally!!!!

Becca- So sweet your DH is already worried about the baby on rides.

We got a floor put down in the daycare addition this weekend! Only one more big phase to go- the kitchenette! Then I sit and wait for inspections.

It's not that different. It's a little more hilly. Logan is convinced it's a lot more humid, and I think there's a slight elevation difference. I think the major issue was that it rained for days right after we got here, so its more humid than normal. On the day we moved, it only stopped just long enough for us to unload the truck, then it started HAILING!
The plant life might be a little different, so he might be having allergy issues as well. It's also possible that he's just worrying himself too much. He really wants to score well during his training, so he's probably pushing himself too hard.
I keep telling him that some of the other guys he's training with are from climates that are significantly different than it is here. Also, many of them probably haven't been going out on a run by themselves every day since they got here. Comparatively speaking he'll probably look pretty decent for their first PT test, and he can just work hard to improve for the next one.

With free dining this year, you have to have at least a 3 night stay and 2-day tickets. A lot of people are a bit upset by this, but other people remind them they can use those 2-day tickets to renew their AP's next year (or something like that). I unsubscribed to the FD threads I was on, so I wonder what they're all talking about now. On Thursday, I could hardly keep up with all of the new posts!

Becca~ Wow! He would die here in Texas!:rotfl2: Our humidity is really unbearable at times! I do feel for him if he is having allergen issues!! That really can be killer to adjust to....how are you feeling? I know you are getting excited!

Hello Birdies! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mindy, I hope your little man is feeling better. :goodvibes I'm really missing DH...7 more weeks until he's home. :sad1:

My dad and stepmother are coming this Friday for a visit--our first guests in Belgium! I'm excited to see them. But...they are slightly high-maintenance guests  and I feel like I should be doing more to prepare. I definitely should be cleaning the house from top to bottom but can't seem to make myself get started. :rolleyes1 They're only staying until next Tuesday (no, they're not coming to Europe for just 4 days, they're visiting some other places before and after seeing us). Anyway, it will be very nice to see them. And I should get busy on the house!

Lots of luck with your cleaning! I should be doing that, too. If you find some motivation, would you mind sharing?

Hmmm, you notice I'm back on the DIS already! And no, that doesn't mean the house is all clean. :rolleyes1 But it's only Tuesday...if I clean it all now, it'll just be dirty/messy again by Friday, right? ;) I did clean out the refrigerator. But my "to do" list is getting longer instead of shorter :headache:

It must have just been the humidity leftover from all the rain we got, because he said he had a good run last night. (6 miles in 45 minutes)
I think he'll be fine.

The other thing about Free Dining is that they DID change it so if you stay in a Value resort you only get the Quick Service Plan. When I booked (and canceled) my Free Dining trip for December there were a few people convinced that the Quick Service plan for Value resorts wouldn't carry over to "regular" Free Dining.

Pluto fan~ Oh girl,I have got one that like (High Maintenance...)..just scrub up the bathrooms, and try to pick up extra kid-clutter (if possible!) and take out the garbage!! I am sure that no matter how clean you get it, they will find something...spider web, dirt on the front door rug.....don't wear yourself out....it will not be worth it . (and that is spoken with a voice of experience!)But, other than that, enjoy your visit with them!:rotfl:

At least you managed to do SOMETHING. I still haven't really done anything. Everything has changed since Chase came along. My house was always spotless. Now, I can't seem to find the energy to do anything at all. I almost help DH with the tan bark but then I had to run and pick up paperwork from my boss . . . (maybe I planned it that way ;) )

Hope everyone is having a great day... just waiting for the contractors to show up... they said they were starting on Tuesday, then they said they would be here by 8am this morning... thats what I get for hiring a friend of my husbands..... oh well...

Oh NO!! The dreaded "family friend-worker"! Ha Don't you hate then that happens...they somehow feel the need to drag their feet!!! Well, we are about to get ready for ballet class..she gets to bring home her recital outfit today....only 2 more classes after this!!!

Logan did great on his PT test this morning. He got to come home for a little while afterward, and told me that it was probably the best he did on one ever. He was even more worried about it yesterday, because they gave him all his shots, and he had to get twice as many as all the other guys because his first duty station is in Korea. He doesn't react well to vaccinations and he was worried it was going to effect his physical testing, especially his push ups because his arm hurt so badly.
Anyways...he did really well.

I decided to start planning our first Disney trip with the baby the other day. I figured we would go for about a week and stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We'll probably save the monorail resorts for when we actually need the bigger room and access to the monorail, because of more kids. Though I just had a picture come into my mind of one of Logan's children deciding that he wanted to go back to the Magic Kingdom after we left and getting away to get on the monorail and go by himself. (I'm saying Logan's child, because he's much more known for do poorly thought out things than I am, especially when he was a little kid)
Anyways, the Moderates, Values, and Shades of Green I figure we can save for when we need to save money on the room, because we're spending SOO much money on everything else.

I decided to go through all the attractions and attempt to figure out which ones we would be interested in with a toddler. Obviously, that might change a little once I can figure out what his likes and dislikes are, but I doubt we'll add too much to the list. Since he won't be able to ride a large portion of the attractions, I figured we would just skip them as well. I know we could do Baby Swap, but I figure our priority should be doing things as a family, and riding rides alone isn't really that much fun anyways.
I, actually, like the idea of skipping many of the major attractions, because it reduces the number of head liner attractions that we'll have to plan for. It should make for a much more relaxing, slow paced trip. We'll probably be able to get many of the attractions that are prone to long lines completed early in the morning (once again this is a guess, but I figure my child will wake up super early in the morning on a regular basis, so getting to the parks by rope drop or even morning EMH should be no problem) then take it slow for the rest of the day. I even expect that we'll probably be able to take entire afternoon and evenings off. I am very excited about all the extra activities that the Wilderness Lodge offers with which we could fill this time near our room.

Now I just have to wait 2 years...I know we'll probably go to the Disney parks in Asia, but it's not the same, and planning is more difficult because I've never been there.

Becca you are so funny with all that preplanning!!! Don't plan on a kid being an early riser tho...i have 3 and they are all different in that regard (well in regard to everything!!ha!!! )...I agree with the park touring philosophy...skipping all the headliners will make a different day all together...and by then maybe the new Fantasyland stuff will be complete!!!!! I am glad he did good on his testing! bummer on the vaccine!!! hate that!!! How are you feeling? Sounds like you are doing better!!! And the WL is a great resort! We stayed there our last night in Dec and we fell in love with it..only rooms for 5 tho, are the deluxe suit:$650 per night:scared1: I am not gonna put all my $$$ to just the room...we looooove the Cont. and the Beach Club just as much and they can accomodate us nicely for half the price!!!!

Hey Snowy Friends!!!

I am just soo excited right now I have to share my good news with you all!!

No, we are NOT planning a Disney Trip! :sad2:

Ken and I are now the very proud Auntie and Uncle to Identical Twin boys, born at ~ 2am this morning!! They were born at 38 weeks and were 6lbs8oz and 6lbs 10 oz!! There names are Andrew and Samuel! Ken's sister is doing fine - didn't tear an inch! :goodvibes

They are waaayyy up in Northern Alberta so we won't be able to go and visit them until this summer! :sad1: I can proudly say that I have a half dozen nephews!!! :goodvibes
