~Snowbird Chat 2~

Welcome back, Sheree! :dance3: Glad to hear you had a great time. We're eager to hear all the details!

Welcome back Sheree!!!

Favorite snack in EPCOT....umm well since we mainly just drink...I have no idea! Actually the last couple times we've stopped in France and had desserts. Something chocolatey!

I'M LOVING THIS WEATHER!!!! We are in shorts and tank tops here in WI, IN MARCH!!!! This is my kind of winter. And for this to be in St. Patrick's Day..one of my favorite holidays...it makes for one happy girl!

Just wanted to stop in and say Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone! I'm on my way out, because quite frankly when you have red hair and extremely fair skin, you celebrate this day with as many free drinks as you can!
Enjoy!!

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone! We have had 2 very full days around here. Yesterday,Madison danced from 9am until 4pm. It was a very long day of dancing and driving. Today, we started with shows at 11am until 3pm. We then went over to my sister and BIL's house for corned beef and cabbage. She also made Guiness cupcakes...they were very yummy and I don't even drink beer! Tomorrow is our big parade (we have 2 parades in Buffalo, but the Sunday one is bigger) and then we're done! Needless to say, I'm so over listening to the same music over and over again!!!

The weather has been downright GORGEOUS here lately. It was definately in the 70's the past 2 days and I think it's supposed to continue tomorrow. That's both good and bad. Good because we don't have to worry about rain ruining the girls dresses in the parade and bad because there will be LOTS and LOTS of drunk people watching the parade. Yikes!

Sheree...You WIN!!!:cheer2: you have the most trips so far, right? How fun!! I can't wait to hear all about this latest Excursion!!!!
Yay for me!!:yay:

Thanks! It was awesome and I will share soon!

Thanks - we are enjoying this weird warm weather too! I noticed one of my perennials pushing up through the dirt today! UNHEARD OF! We actually slept with windows open IN MARCH! Never done that before. I haven't even taken the flannel sheets off yet!
Hope you had a good St. Patrick's day!

Anyone out there still need/want Girl Scout cookies? I've got a ton of them to sell and one week left to do it! I might even pay to ship them to you! ;)

Hi! I'm so sorry that I haven't responded to the kind welcoming messages! I've been on holiday from work and only got back this morning at some unthinkable hour due to a very delayed plane and am only just catching up.

Sheree, I can't wait to hear about your trip :)

Welcome back Sheree!!! Can't wait to hear about your trip! When in October are you going? I'm so hoping we'll be there around the same time - a possible snowbird meet in October!!! :thumbsup2

We will be there 10/13 - 10/20. I would love to meet up! There are a lot of DISers going around mid-October.

Welcome back, Sheree!!

I'd love to try Disney in October sometime. Maybe next year :)

Booked airfare today for December. $217 rt! Awesome rate.

:thumbsup2 NICE! Our airfare is been holding at $300 RT for a month now. I just need to pull the trigger. At least its on SW, so no bag fees. Airtran was running around $250 rt, but by the time you added in bag fees it was right up there with SW and I much prefer flying SW.

Unfortunately for us, AirTran recently stopped flying from our local airport and SW has never flown from there. Frontier just picked up non-stop flights but they only fly Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Definitely doesn't work for us :( So, we are flying United with Carry-On only. We will only be down there 3 nights so we can pull it off.

Well looks like I'm jumping on the planning bandwagon! Looking at the week of January 7 2013. I kept trying to say I wasn't going to take a big trip so "close" to my road trip this summer, but some how no one was listening....least of all me!:confused3 No idea where we will stay or anything like that, but we've got some dates now. Also a possibility that this could be a group trip of up to 9 people.

Also on a positive note, we went to the local humane shelter yesterday to start looking at puppies again!! I wanted to bring every single one home, that's the hardest part!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

I'm the same way when we go to the shelter - which is why we don't go very often. DH took the loss of our dog very hard a few years ago - I don't know when he'll be ready to take on another puppy - we had our beloved dog for over twelve years.

congrats on planning again! it's addictive!! And y'all must all have diff kinds of shelters than we do,...when I go to ours, I am just so thankful for the one dog we have and am never tempted to get one from them! they all seem like dogs with problems at ours,..you know, the kind with the chart that says, no kids,. or I love to get ALL your attention- so no other pets or children in the home please...:scared1: That never really seems like a loving dog to me!!! Kinda scary!

Makes you wonder what kind of life they came from. Poor doggies.

I know! And you feel bad for them, but it's a risk I would be too scared to take! They def need homes with no kids!

There was one dog while we were there saying it was a "puppy mill" dog, so no kids or high noise level. It broke my heart. In my area however we have a great system set up, Pet Foster Care. So those type of animals get gradually integrated into families and begin to slowly interact with kids. It's been great so far. It also helps to decrease the amount of time that the pets actually spend at the shelter.

Hello everyone. Been quiet on here lately. Hope everyone is doing well. I've been working a ton of hours with Easter coming up, but it should slow down again next week.

I wanted to jump on here quick and introduce you to the newest member of my family.

Everyone meet Splash! She is named after Splash Mountain, our favorite ride. She is a 12 week old Shih-tzu.

Awwww, how cute! :lovestruc Thanks for sharing.

It has been quiet here lately. I hope everyone is enjoying springtime! And baseball season! :cool1: Sadly, my team lost yesterday. :headache:

The kids are on spring break this week and next. As of Monday we still didn't have a plan, so...we decided to go to Disneyland Paris!:banana: The bad news is we'll only have two days in the parks, and we're staying offsite. The good news is...we're getting annual passes! party: I priced up Davy Crockett Ranch, which we love, but realized we could stay offsite and buy APs for the same price as staying at DCR with tickets just for two days. :teacher: (it wouldn't work to stay at DCR and buy APs, because of the weird way DLP does their hotel packages, but once we have the APs we hopefully will be able to stay there again). So we'll drive down Sunday afternoon/evening and have Monday and Tuesday in the parks, and drive home Tuesday evening. I'm a little worried that it's going to be jam-packed, especially Monday which is a French holiday :scared:, but hey, we can go back another time!

Wishing all who celebrate it, a very joyous Easter! :flower3:
