Haven't been on in a while - been perusing other boards since I don't have a Disney trip planned! But I had to come back on & catch up with my Snowbirds!

Glad to hear you're getting to go again, Meghan! Hope you have a great time planning!

Now, even though I'm not going to Disney, I just booked another vacation for myself - I'm cruising to Bermuda in May! It'll be just me on a theme cruise, so I'll be with a group, but a solo cabin. Next time I'm on, I'll have to update my signature with the new trip!

And a cousin is performing at a Harry Potter convention, so I may go to to that!

Hi Snowbirds (old and new )

I've been busy. I had a new baby start so now I have 6 daycare kiddos between the ages of 3 months and 4 years old. Sometimes I wonder about my sanity LOL. Needless to say I haven't had much downtime lately. I've been really missing Disney. I have everything I need to scrap our December trip but haven't had the motivation to do it yet. It's going to be at least 2 years before we go back again and well, it makes me sad to think about it being that long between trips.

Emily will be 5 tomorrow and for her birthday she decided to treat herself to a haircut. Let's just say I don't see a future as a hair stylist for her. The hairdresser tried her best to even it up. I keep reminding myself that it will grow back...eventually.

I hope everyone is well! I'll try to check in more often!

Like snykymom, no Disney trips on the horizon for me. :-/ However, if we change our cruise next January, it'll bring us closer to Orlando and I've already given my husband warning. He said "oh, okay," and moved on.

Hello Snowbirds! I feel like I've been away for ages. Darn real life! Hope everyone is doing well. Meghan, congratulations on your upcoming trip...I'm going to go catch up on your PTR! Jenny, I hope you're able to squeeze in a trip in August, and congrats on the new job! Kim...I read your post as far as "I've been busy. I had a new baby..." and thought Have I been away THAT long?? But then I realized you were talking about your daycare kids!

Sheree mentioned on her PTR that she is going to be posting updates on facebook. I'm pretty new to FB and don't have any Snowbird friends on there. Would someone mind PMing me her info so I can send her a friend request? Hmm, does that sound creepy?

We're still trying to figure out when we can fit in a trip to DLP. We had an idea in mind for the kids' spring break but it might be too expensive...so I'm thinking we might be able to save money by going to DLP. Love that Disney math! I'm afraid of going around Easter time, though.

I think I mentioned that DD has started with Irish dance. Well, her group has the opportunity to participate in an event at DLP this fall! http://www.mandrdance.ie/ECIDF.html How cool would that be? We haven't gotten a clear idea on whether the little ones (she's only 4) will be able to participate, though. We might just try to go on our own at that same time to cheer on her fellow dancers.

Did you see the free dining promo for Visa cardholders? Totally bummed that it starts so late in Aug, but not surprised since most kids (include mine) ate back in school then!

Really wanted to go Aug 6-13so the kids wouldn't miss school, but Now thinking about maybe going over Labor Day. Biggest downfall, other than kids missing school, is that Drew will have just turned 10 2 days before! Guess the free dining would MORE than offset the higher ticket prices though. . Hmmm.........decisions, decisions...

I'm SUPER excited about free dining! I was able to call and apply it to our reservation this morning. If you know of anyone who's interested in booking free dining, I'd love it if you sent them my way!!! I love getting referrals!!!

I saw the Visa card holder deal today. If I didn't have a big trip planned for July, I'd really be looking into it! Someday I really want to do free dining.

Hope everyone is doing ok around here! Things are crazy as usually, I'm trying to get things figured out so I can get my taxes done. They are usually done by mid Feb and yet here we are in March already...grrr.

Hello girls... I am sick as a dog (I wonder where that expression comes from anyway)...must have caught a stomach virus/bug somewhere..I have been a sick little girl today!
My younger 2 keep after me asking if we are going back in November or not...I assume so, but not definite-my space looked pretty empty, so I made a ticker leading up to my ADR day if we go back.....thought it was pretty cute with the grapes!! That is a fave around here too! Also changed my Avatar as the wind down here is tremendous, I thought this was "appropo"..!!
Wanted to call Disney today and just see if I had any PINs attached to my name, but just haven't felt like talking or holding a telephone...I have no energy. How are all of you? Making plans for Spring Break yet?

I noticed your new avatar right away--cute! I love Mary Poppins...but the guys always groan about it. "Step in Time" is one of my all-time favorite Disney numbers.

We're still up in the air on spring break plans. The kids are off March 31-April 15. We were thinking of going to France (not Disney) the week after Easter, but now it looks like the guys will have theatre rehearsals that week. So we might go the previous week, but we'd want to be home by Thursday. I'm thinking that would be a good time to fit in Disneyland Paris, right? We'll see. But it's less than a month away, so I need to get busy!

Sorry you are so sick Shawna. That is the worst. The stomach thing went around our school about 3 weeks ago. We had hundreds of kids and teachers out. But somehow we magically managed to not get it!!


Our spring break is very short. Just a Friday and a Monday. We are planning to go visit family in Charlotte!

Have fun in France Kathy! You are so lucky to visit so many cool places!!

I am better today-no fever or anything, but man am I tired!I usually don't get this when it's running rampant everywhere-in fact I can't remember the last time I did have it...just hope the kids don't get it--the last few times, my younger 2 have got it and not anyone else...
K-I think you should def squeeze in some Parisian Disney!!!
Shelly--our kids are out all next week-we never ever travel over spring break-too many people, prices are outrageous, and it's just not ever a good week for us. I had thought about us taking a cruise this year, but I totally forgot about it! I guess if it were a Disney cruise it would have been in the forefront of my mind!
Whoever travels I hope ya'll have a safe trip and a fun time off!!

Things are good for us. Spring time is upon us and I couldn't be happier! I'm headed west with my 3 favorite guys at the end of July/beginning of August. DH's sister is getting married in San Diego. I've convinced DH that a day trip to Disneyland is a must Also, I booked a trip back to WDW for my sister, SIL and myself for December. Very excited about this trip, although it will be different without my kiddos. Only 3 months before I can make my ADRs *sigh*

He is just now 35" so I'm hoping to give him a trip on the Matterhorn when we get to DL

AWW! Poor Mindy! Well, if it makes you feel any better, my oldest (16) doesnt want to come either...in fact, he may stay home and his Nana stay with him next trip-he has started a new High School and loves it soooo much he doesn't want to miss..he has been to WDW more times than most people ever will. But,..he said he would still want to come to work there...my other two still want to come, but I have been back and forth about going somewhere else for 2012 vacation since all the renos wont be complete....
Actually, my oldest doesnt want to go on any vacation-anywhere this year,..he's not a super-wanna-traveler, like me! Are you subscribed to this thread? You should be since you post...it doesn't come up on your email? That's how I keep up with the ones I am on....
