~Snowbird Chat 2~

I am not a camper either. One of my roommates in college went to Disney every Christmas (I think it was Christmas, maybe it was summer) and they camped at Fort Wilderness. Interestingly enough she met her then fiance (now husband) there. I just couldn't fathom it, and I thought staying in a condo off property was "roughing it."

We did go on camping trips some when I was younger, and my Dad's family has a camping family reunion every year, but I haven't actually camped in years. Though I know Logan will want to do family camping trips, so maybe I should start stocking him with fancy camping gear that will make it a little easier for me....or maybe I should plan the trips in areas with hotels or cabins close by where I can sleep, while he roughs it with the kids.

Just the thought of the Kitchen Sink makes me queasy LOL. I love ice cream but I wouldn't have anyone to share it with. Neither of my boys love ice cream and DH just doesnt eat it :(

6 days until departure. Two days of work and lots of cleaning before we leave. My truck needs some TLC, too. Oh, and then there's all of that packing that I've yet to do. Time to get cracking.

Yeah, I'd want to share it with at least 3 other people... and then I'd have to like everything in it and everyone I was sharing it with. But a sweets-loving girl can dream, right?! :rotfl:

Good luck! You can get it all done!! Do say hi to Mickey and let him know we're coming! ;)

Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in and say hello. Cole was a week old yesterday and I can't believe it! This week really flew by. I'm definately not looking forward to Tony going back to work next week. :sad1: He has been such a HUGE help! He went grocery shopping, did the laundry (a few times), ran a bunch of errands...he's awesome.

A week already? It goes much too fast. Seems like just yesterday that I was announcing Chase's birth and he's going to be 19 mo on Sunday. I asked himtoday who we were going to visit and he screamed "Mickey Mouse!"

That makes ME feel old! He's 19 months already?!?!

I looked at my Target and couldn't find any fans - oh well! I'll look at Meijer, too, which is akin to a Super Walmart, but a Michigan based company.

Progress!!! I cleaned the entire lower level today and got all of the laundry done. I managed to get all of Rylan's clothes packed. I'll do Chase's tomorrow and start the cleaning process upstairs.

While washing the floors downstairs, Chase slipped and fell on the tile. He hit pretty hard and gave us a good scare. He seems fine and has demonstrated any signs of concussion, thankfully. Poor little guy :(

That is progress!! Poor Chase! I hope he suffers no ill effects!
You are getting so close!!!! I just spent an hour and a half on the phone with my friend from PA who just went to WDW last week. It made me so sad I'm not going back soon!!! But they had a BLAST!!! They celebrated their DD's 10th b-day (she's my goddaughter) and she counted the # of times people wished her happy birthday. Total for 6 nights? - 169!!! Isn't that awesome?

I know! Gideon is 10 1/2 months! It's like we're playing baby relay. We all went on our snowbird trips, then you got pregnant and had Chase, then I announced I was pregnant a few weeks later. I had Gideon, and Meghan announced she was pregnant shortly after that! Who's next? Anyone...anyone...?!?!

Poor kid! I'm really not looking forward to Gideon becoming mobile. So far he's content to sit and play with the toys he can reach. We don't have any carpet here, so I'm expecting a few bumps and bruises.

Wow, Sheree! That's awesome! WDW is such an amazing, magical place.

Becca! It won't be long before Gideon is into EVERYTHING! Toddlerhood is such a fun time. I love all of the wonderful things he learns during this time.

Soooo another surprise added to our trip. Not only are we bringing DH's 19 year old niece home with us, we are bringing his 18 year old nephew, too. Our pilot holds 8 but I'm worried about where to put all of the luggage. We aren't going to be able to fold the third row down like we planned. I *think* my dad has a hitch basket (I hope i hope I hope) If so, problem solved. If not, we're in trouble LOL

He has been the best! I'm going to miss him when he goes back to work tomorrow for sure.

Wow...I had no idea all of our pregnancies were like that!

Baby relay LOL Meghan is ready to hand off the baton. Who's going to take it? I can promise you that i won't be taking it again. Ever.

Another spill for Chase tonight due to wet floors. This time he slipped after Ry had gotten out of the shower. Blood everywhere. I'm not sure if he bit his tongue or what. I got the bleeding stopped and couldn't tell where it was coming from. No cuts in there at all. The blood was definitely coming from his mouth.

Our house is full of tile. I think I'm just going to get him a helmet for when he's walking around

and a mouth guard!! LOL...i would love to take the pregnancy baton...but Mike ain't having it!!! he is done!!!

I call "not it" for the next one pregnant lol. I'm standing up in a wedding next summer and the bride has picked a dress that "will look good no matter what, even if someone is pregnant". I was the first one to call not it!!

Luggage is so frustrating. We had to borrow a friend's van to go to the airport when we went to meet our flight to Korea. It's a good thing it occurred to me a few days in advance that my 6 checked bags and 2 carryons wouldn't fit into my car or one of my parents'. Otherwise, we would have been very frustrated the night before I left trying to stuff everything into a Toyota Corolla.

You could always just tell the teenagers that they have to carry their luggage in their lap, so they should pack light! :rotfl:

It just occurred to me when Mindy said Chase is 19 months. Even Soleil's Evie was born around the same schedule, you were just pregnant at the same time.

You never know....:rolleyes1 It's not like you can control these things!

I'm not planning on having our next for a while, partially, because I don't want to give birth in Korea. Being the silly person I am though, I keep seeing Korean babies and thinking, maybe I should just take one home with me! They're soo adorable!

Holy Snowbird Babies!!! 4 babies :)

I have a friend their adopted their first from Korea last year and are in the middle of the process to bring their second home. He is such a sweet little boy.

House is clean!! Not that it will stay that way until Thursday.

Still on my list:
Launder the bedding
Misc laundry
Pack
Clean the truck
Shop for travel snacks
Load the iPads with movies

I have to work two days this week plus Ry has an appointment with the chiropractor and the allergist. Soooo busy!

Mindy- poor Chase sounds like he needs full gear- helmet, knee pads, shoulder pads, mouthpiece...poor thing!!!!

"NOT IT!" here too!!!! Two is enough. We are DONE!

My daycare mom just called at 8:30 to let me know she's in labor! Her little guy should be making his appearance sometime soon. This is her third and I think she's crazy! I'm already counting the days until he starts daycare with me in August. It's so much more fun to enjoy them all day, send them home at 5:30 and be able to sleep through the night.

I'm counting down the days. Andrew is done with first grade on Thursday. I have 2 daycare kids leaving for the summer next Monday and two more leave next Wednesday. :woohoo: Sometimes I wish I had all teacher kids and could have my summers completely off too. I'm looking forward to the little break of having less kids though. I'll only have the baby full time and my other 2 will be here 3 days a week while mom is home on maternity leave. Can't wait to have my days be not so busy!!!!

My weekend was a bit crazy. We're slowly working on fixing up the backyard and things didn't go so well yesterday. We ended up at the urgent care place for Jason to get 6 stitches above his eye. The comealong he was using to pull a tree flipped up and bit him. Thank goodness he had safety glasses on and it didn't get his eye. Maybe I should get him some protective gear too Mindy. We could order and combine shipping LOL.
