~Snowbird Chat 2~

Shawna-Tell Mike that we say happy birthday! Hope he has a great day! :goodvibes

I can't believe my due date is only 24 days away....DAYS!!! Counting down in days is just so crazy. Everything went great at the doctor's today and I go back next Thursday. Baby is at a -2 station and I'm 30% effaced...I always have to go look up what all that means! Still crossing my fingers that he decides to come just a little bit early. I'd really like to be at my own studio's dance recital the first weekend in June!

It's funny... I am going back, but I'm not as "in to" it as usual. I don't know why, except I think my calf injury has me in a state of flux.

Yesterday, after SIX WEEKS of being injured, I go the okay to take short light walks. Short. Light. No moving quickly. No running. No jumping. No skipping or hopping. No doing anything on tip-toes. No biking.

Six weeks. You realize, for my last knee surgery, I was on crutches for six weeks. Surgery! This is just an injury!!

I am going for a leg ultrasound on Tuesday, which will show the extent of the damage (if it shows any at all - the doctor said that the damage could be like a paper cut - unbelievable tiny, but incredibly painful anyway). If there is visible damage, he said it will also give us a time frame for my leg pain, and he restated that three to six MONTHS is possible for pain. Sheesh. I did this walking out of a library - who knew they were so dangerous?!

And Disney falls in the middle of this period of time. The idea of dealing with the July heat and not being 100% is so overwhelming. So I guess I'm just hiding under the covers.

In better news, I got to Skype with my niece this weekend. Yes, she's not even 7 months old. It was pretty fun. We both look very similar that, when I would say her name, she'd reach for me and try to touch the computer screen. I can't wait until she and I get to hang out! (I also got to see most of her toys, as she kept pulling them towards her and chewing on them - ha!!) I'm REALLY looking forward to HER and more time on Skype. :)

I hope all of you wonderful, wonderful moms on this board have a FABULOUS mother's day!!

Sarah..Bless your heart girl!! You are being a danger to yourself!:rotfl: And not even trying!! LOL...I hope the ultrasound Thr shows minimal damage and that you recover super duper quick! you will be in our prayers for sure! Disney and pain would not mix well for me!! Again,..your little niece is a doll!! She is gonna be one beautiful little girl!!!! I know you miss her and this trip will be great for you just to be with her..get lots of pics of you and her for us...they change so quickly-we need an updated one of that little cutie patootie!
Kim~ Canada~ Forgot to add to your post about Beth Moore---she is aweeeeooooome!! You are gonna really enjoy getting to hear her firsthand...I love her and always get a little nugget of wisdom from listening to her-She is so real...can't wait to hear all about your weekend!!!!

Meghan - If you think it would help, I can send you pictures of Gideon during our trip when he was three months old. I fully support making trips to Disney with infants!:rotfl:

Sarah - I hope everything goes well at your ultrasound.

Gideon LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I'm considering getting a DVD or two to take to Korea, so he will recognize the characters the next time we take him to Disney. He's in the clingy separation anxiety phase right now, so if I want to go to the bathroom, put in a load of laundry, or something else in a different room he freaks out, unless he's sufficiently distracted.

Our travel plans are official. We leave first thing in the morning on May 17th. I'm not completely happy with the flight we got stuck on. It is almost completely booked, so there are only middle seats available. I'm hoping the gate agent might be able to help me out before I board, or one of the aisle seaters on my row is kind enough to trade with me. I can't imagine climbing over someone several times during the flight to change Gideon's diaper.

Becca...just climb over someone with a reaaaally stinky diaper on him and they will be happy to give you the aisle!:lmao: I know you are excited to have a date and be able to see Logan! Def get Gideon some Mickey dvds!!! I know some people are totally against little ones watching any tv, but some days you have to have a distraction!!!!
Well,....I made my ressie today! I was going to wait till next week, but kept feeling the urge to do it today...so I did and it's a good thing! They have a few major conventions in the Cont. that month, so the room #'s are already limited...went ahead and booked the full pkg with tix and ddp-not sure if I will keep the ddp, but wanted to have the pkg for a smaller deposit needed, and to be able to go ahead and make ADRs...my date is sometime next week (or the next Monday,..need to check on it)! Can't believe i already need to start planning park days!!!! isn't that crazy!!? so,....after next week I will make a ticker! dont want to have it over 6 months-that just kiiiiills me!! LOL

Hahaha....thanks for the offer, but I don't think it would help. I think there are other reasons Tony doesn't want to take another Disney trip this year. I'm thinking monetary reasons maybe? Anyways...I keep saying that every trip we take is "research" for my travel agency business. :thumbsup2 We can write those off on our taxes, right?

:flower3: Happy Monday after Mother's Day!!! :flower3:

I don't know about all of you but I skipped doing :laundy: all weekend and am paying for my laziness today. 2 loads down and only about 2 more plus sheets to go. :faint:

We got our new camper!!!! It's a Forest River Wildwood 26BH http://www.forestriverinc.com/nd/de...choice=xlite&nav=rec&name=3273&series=XLiteTT Oh my goodness it is fantastic!!! :yay: We picked it up Saturday morning and spent the day loading it up with all our stuff so it's like a cozy little home away from home. We even spent the night in it Saturday. Jason has to attach a different weight distribution hitch that will make it easier and safer to tow this week and we are hoping to be out camping in it this weekend.

The highlight of the whole thing...sit down for this one...Jason brought up the idea of driving it to Fort Wilderness for our next trip to Disney!!!! We've talked about it in the past but our other camper was too small to survive a week in it comfortably. This one is the same size as a Disney hotel room  plus we always drive anyway so that wouldn't change anything. My only stipulation is that I WILL NOT cook during the week. It's my vacation and I want my Mickey waffles! We'll pack snacks and drinks and such but I refuse to do the regular cooking like we do when we go camping now. We are looking at sometime next spring since Jason won't have enough vacation days accrued until at least December of this 2011 and I don't know Andrew school schedule for next year yet. So no specific date for a ticker but at least we know we'll be at Fort Wilderness and I can keep busy researching for our new adventure!

Be back later with some camper pics! :goodvibes

Look for us at Disney's FW next Spring!

One last pic...

This is the parking pad we made last weekend! We just finished planting more flowers around it yesterday.
