Snow White Does the Creep on the Trip that Almost Wasn't A Dec 11/Jan 12 TR 7/24 NEW

Oh no! Sorry your foot hurts still! :sad2: Oh I love EoS! Yummy!!! Wow! That figurine is so cool!! I'm so glad you got it! :thumbsup2 I love Tren-D too! It's so cute, but very expensive! OMG you got another hotel!!! That is awesome! I can't wait to find out where you're moving to!! :)

You are so right, if you want something done, do it yourself. :rotfl2: In all seriousness, I'm sure that John did everything that he could. I can't wait to hear what resort you ended up at though.

EoS can make even the grumpiest person happy. It's a proven fact. And I think we've all had times even at WDW when we haven't been at our best.

Glad you were able to get out of there! I stayed there for one whole night in 2010. The next day, they kicked us out and didn't bother to tell us. Very long story, I was able to get a free night there with some rewards the night before our official stay was to start. Go to check in next day, given our room # and all, go to concierge for something and they tell me that we're not staying there, we were bumped to ASMu. Luckily, it was only for 3 nights and then we switched over to WL. Told you it was a long story, and that's the short version!

Anywho, my guess is you're going to CBR.

So excited for your July trip. We'll be in DL that week.

When we woke up the next morning I realized two dismaying things: first, our second night in our room had been just as unpleasant as the first; second, my foot was still hurting REALLY bad. :( I’m still not sure what had happened to it, but I must have pulled a muscle in it pretty badly. It hurt a lot to walk on it
Booo!!

so we decided to go to Downtown Disney for a little while instead!

Luckily we found a pretty good parking spot, and I snapped picture of the adorable Dumbo as we walked.

When we got inside I started drooling over all of his stuff, and then I saw THIS:
DSCN0286.jpg

AHHH isn’t it amazing?! I love his HM figurine with the hitchhiking ghosts, but I had never seen this one before! I loved it and couldn’t stop staring at it, so John finally suggested, “Why not just buy it?” Hmmm…that was tempting. I hadn’t gotten many souvenirs yet, and I was having a very bad Disney day. But it was pretty expensive…

So, did I get it? :scratchin

YES I DID.
Yeaa!!

My foot was hurting pretty bad again, so we decided it was time to head back. Before we left DTD, however, we went in the World of Disney for a little while! John picked out a few souvenirs that he wanted to get for family, and I found this amazing shirt that I wanted SO badly:

DSCN0290.jpg

Unfortunately they didn’t have any my size.
Booo!!

I decided that just for the heck of it I would go over and talk to a CM about switching. John told me it was pointless because he had just asked that morning, but I couldn’t resist!

When I got to the lobby the CM that helped me was SUPER nice. I can’t remember her name, but she was insanely helpful. I told her our situation, but I left out some of the details. I didn’t want to bash her resort by talking about how unhappy I was with it, so I basically told her that I wanted to make our trip a little more special by upgrading for our remaining four nights. She was totally cool about it, and didn’t seem offended at all, thank goodness. When she started looking for availability I was certain that she would tell me there was nothing, but lo and behold…there was availability at a moderate resort! :worship: YAY!! She called them up, told them our situation, and set it up right there for us to head over immediately! She told me the price difference, but I was more than happy to pay it. I had some Christmas money saved up, and to me it was totally worth it. She asked how long we needed before we could be out of our room, and I was like, “Um…TEN MINUTES.” Seriously, I was ready to GO!

The moral of this story, ladies? If you want something done right, do it yourself. HAHAHA. :lmao: For all my guy readers out there, I’m totally kidding. I guess I just got lucky, but it sure was nice walking back into our room with my smug face on and telling John to get ready, because we were leaving NOW.

Yeah!! Wait a minute though, I know what's going on here. John didn't have a chance talking that woman into getting y'all moved. You gals stick together. Heck, you can't even go to the bathroom alone! Now if it had been a male CM, John coulda talked to him about sports, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, NASCAR or something like that and you woulda been moved quicker than a duck on a june bug! I get it... :sad2:

Of course I'm joking. I'm glad y'all got moved okay. Disney is great about trying to work things out. As for where you moved to, my guess is CBR.

What a bummer about your foot! I know how frustrating it is to not be 100% in Disney...I was hurting pretty badly after the half marathon and it made it really tough to tour with my usual enthusiasm!!!! I'm glad some retail therapy helped!!

Yum, Earl of Sandwich! We are already talking about what we will get when we go in July!

I hope you ended up loving your new resort!

I am loving this TR and your PTR!

You have some great ADRs for July and I hppe you did not cancel Flying Fish...at place is awesome!

Can't wait for more! Thank you for sharing.

Lisa

Oh man, I'm so sorry about your foot. And I'm sorry that ASMo did you wrong. It was my favorite of the All Stars but hey, I totally get where you're coming from. I just hope the refurb didn't screw that place up! :headache: I must say I'm even more curious now as to what you're gonna do!

That's an awesome figurine! It reminds me of that new organ/piano in the new queue. Although... I'm guessing that's the point.

AHH YAY! Taking matters into your own hands! Get it Joni! I mean... sorry John, you're cool too... it was probably the CM's fault anyway...

UM I'M GOING TO GUESS CORONADO SPRINGS. That's my official guess. It's probably wrong but hey at least I have a one in four shot. It's like I'm betting on a horse in the Kentucky Derby. MY MONEY'S ON CORONADO SPRINGS. That sounds like it could be one of those weird horse names, right? One of them's named Animal Kingdom, after all. Okay so here's where I stop talking.

What a great purschase you got... :woohoo: That is such an awesome piece.

I've never tried EoS and after reading your trip reports... I'm going to have to try it. Those sandwiches look so yummy! :thumbsup2

I too walked all around Disney at Spring Break with my foot killing me. I hurt my foot way back in February and I finally went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago and come to find out I have 2 tearing trendons in my right foot. I'm now in a boot and on crutches and no weight on it. We're trying to keep from having surgery, I see my doctor this coming friday and I'll know more...

Looking forward to more updates...

Your next trip is getting so close!!!!

Hi Joni, I have loved your TR.

My DH and I are in our 20s, and I love reading about others around our age that frequent WDW. We're going back in 3 weeks.

We just moved to Oklahoma from Tennessee, and during one of you TRs you mentioned "bubble gut." I laughed so hard :lmao: I hadn't heard that since we moved, definitely a southern thing I had forgotten about.

I'm sorry your foot hurt so bad :(

That sandwich looked DELICIOUS!

And yes, Chester is the cat in that series. (Can you tell I teach 2nd grade :))

WOW that HM figurine is awesome! Sometimes when things go wrong you just need a little retail therapy. Actually, even when things go right, I need retail therapy. So I understand the spontaneous purchase... especially at Disney! And yay for getting it for much less $$!

Aww, you're right, that's so awesome that they had Cogsworth at the pin store! I love when they have lesser talked about characters on display.

I have that pink shirt! It's one of my favorites. Hopefully you'll be able to find one in your size!

Oh and to answer your question about Dexter...I went back and forth on Season 6. For awhile in the middle I thought it was really really great, the murders were just CRAZY and horrifying and I thought Dexter's whole relgious conflict was interesting. I loved that they brought back the Ice Truck Killer and Trinity stories back, because those were the best seasons. Toward the end I wasn't as crazy about the season as a whole but the last scene... OMG! I'm so happy Deb finally knows and I'm just curious as to what he'll exactly tell her. Like, will he spill his whole life story or just what Deb witnessed? Maybe she will put the whole thing together herself. Ahh, I can't wait to find out! And yeah, I'm hoping Deb realizes her romantic feelings for Dexter are just confusion. Because of the trauma she's experienced it would make sense but hopefully it's just a phase. Wow that was long. haha, get me going on the subject of TV and I will just go on and on!

Can't wait to find out what resort you moved to!

Ok, first off, your TR has been bookmarked in my favorites to read later for ever now, and I’ve finally gotten around to it! I’m hooked! Haha
The first night looks great, pixie dust getting into the park, osbourne lights make me want to go back for Christmas so bad.
Red Velvet…it’s so amazing, I would do anything for one!

HA! That shirt with Jack Sparrow is just hilarious! Also, the monorail shirt is my fave, I should probably just buy it….

Magic Kingdom is my favorite, I also definitely discovered Caseys this past trip, it’s so amazingly delicious! Corn Dog Nuggets, om nom nom!

The parade! Yay! Also, thank you for the Naveen *swoon* hahaha.

Also, I’m now following you on twitter (katt789) yay!

GFDNASKJDNJGFKNDF I cannot WAIT to eat at Le Cellier! I want the soup, the bread, the filet! NOM Gah, so excited for September!! Ieeeee

That poutine looks iffy…there’s really no gravy on it, that’s not what poutine’s supposed to look like! Haha! Also, I’m curious to know if they use Canadian beef at Le Cellier, I mean, Alberta Beef really is prime!

Ugh, that chocolate caramel thing looks amazing, you’re making me so hungry reading this update!

OH MY GOD BUNNICULA!!! I LOVED THOSE BOOKS

Yay for everything getting sorted out with the resort, I’m glad it worked out for you guys!

Great food choices for your upcoming trip! I LOVE the Cape May Cafe! I stayed at the Beach Club in June and we ate there 3 times - The dinner is great! I hope your not disappointed by any of your new choices :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes We are really excited to try Cape May for breakfast AND dinner, even if they're on the same day!

Ha I love it!

If you want a job doing properly then always do it yourself :rotfl2:

I cannot wait to hear where you ended up!

Hahaha ain't it the truth! ;) Just kidding!

I'm FINALLY going to post it in just a minute! Stay tuned!

Thank you! :) I was really bummed about it but I tried to make the best of it. Thanks! I was really excited about it, even though I usually don't make purchases that big at Disney! Tren-D is really expensive, but awesome!

Stay tuned, I'm going to reveal where we went in just a minute!

HAHA, but really. ;) Yeah all joking aside he tried really hard, I just got lucky. Still, it was fun rubbing it in! :lmao:

I think you're right. There must have been some study done about this, because there's no disputing it!

Yeah we all have those times unfortunately. :( They're no fun, but a part of life!

Glad you were able to get out of there! I stayed there for one whole night in 2010. The next day, they kicked us out and didn't bother to tell us. Very long story, I was able to get a free night there with some rewards the night before our official stay was to start. Anywho, my guess is you're going to CBR.

So excited for your July trip. We'll be in DL that week.

Wow! I can't believe that happened to you! I'm sorry!

That's a good guess...stay tuned! ;)

How cool that we will both be doing Disney that week, only on opposite sides of the country! :rotfl:

Booo!!

Yeaa!!

Booo!!

Yeah!! Wait a minute though, I know what's going on here. John didn't have a chance talking that woman into getting y'all moved. You gals stick together. Of course I'm joking. I'm glad y'all got moved okay. Disney is great about trying to work things out. As for where you moved to, my guess is CBR.

HAHAHA you're absolutely right...it's a big conspiracy against all you men out there! ;) We plan all this stuff just to make you guys look bad! :rotfl:

Thanks! :) We were really happy to be moving out of there. Good guess...stay tuned! ;)

Being in any kind of pain in Disney is just SO unfair. It's like, your brain wants to be ecstatic, but your body just can't get on board. :(

Haha I don't blame you! That place is amazing!

We did! It was amazing! Stay tuned to find out which one it was! :)

I am loving this TR and your PTR!

You have some great ADRs for July and I hppe you did not cancel Flying Fish...at place is awesome!

Can't wait for more! Thank you for sharing.

Lisa

:welcome: Thank you so much!

Hmm...I think we did cancel that one. But after hearing your good review, I may have to add it back!

Thank you for reading along! I'm glad you're enjoying it! :goodvibes

Somehow I missed the beginning of the TR/PTR and just caught up on it now.

:welcome: Thanks for reading along!

Thanks! I have always had good experiences at ASMo, so this was really surprising to me. I think they were just having an off week.

Isn't it amazing?! Apparently they sold it at that special HM event they had last year and it was supposed to only be available then but they had some leftover! Lucky for me! :)

HAHA, that's right! That's how it's done! ;)

Hmmmm....that sounds like a pretty good guess.... :rolleyes1

What a great purschase you got... :woohoo: That is such an awesome piece.

I've never tried EoS and after reading your trip reports... I'm going to have to try it. Those sandwiches look so yummy! :thumbsup2

Thank you! I was really excited about it. It lights up, too! :goodvibes

YES, you have to try EoS! It's so good!

Oh no I'm sorry about your foot pain. I hope your doctor has good news for you! I'm thinking about you!

I know, I can't believe it's less than two months away! :bitelip:

Ugh, I'm sorry your foot still hurt, isn't it annoying when you just want to run around Disney and something has to hold you back? :furious: And being in a bad mood in Disney is no fun either, I'm glad you bought the HM figurine to cheer you up! :goodvibes

Yay for getting to switch to a mod! :cool1: I'm glad they had availability the 2nd time you guys asked, maybe they didn't in the morning because people didn't check out when John asked or something! Can't wait to hear about the move! :woohoo:

Thanks so much for reading along! That's so cool that we are similar! :) How exciting that you're going back so soon!

Hahaha I use that expression all the time! I guess it's truly a southern saying. I'm glad I could bring it back for you. ;)

I'm sorry your foot hurt so bad :(

That sandwich looked DELICIOUS!

And yes, Chester is the cat in that series. (Can you tell I teach 2nd grade :))

Thanks! It was a bummer! :(

It was SO GOOD, as always!

Haha yay Chester! That's so cool- I wish my high schoolers could read those books. ;)

WOW that HM figurine is awesome! Sometimes when things go wrong you just need a little retail therapy. Actually, even when things go right, I need retail therapy. So I understand the spontaneous purchase... especially at Disney! And yay for getting it for much less $$!

You're right, retail therapy is always a good thing, whether I'm happy or sad!

Me too! It's so cool when the obscure characters get noticed. Now if only I could see more Oliver and Company characters around... :rolleyes1

AHH I'm jealous. I want it so badly! I am obsessed with shirts that have lots of characters on them.

Haha I love your Dexter rant, I am the same way over that show! I remember being completely SHOCKED when we found out that Travis was working alone the entire time. When Dexter opened that freezer I was like . I'm excited to see what happens with him telling Deb too. I think he's going to try and cover it up, but if she has any sense I feel like she'll be able to put the pieces together. Although if she's "in love" with him or whatever she might try to cover for him...hmmm... HURRY UP SEASON 7.

Oh and maybe I'm weird but I still feel like there's some closure missing as far as it goes with Rita's death. I have had this sneaking suspicion for forever that Trinity didn't do it, but maybe that's just wishful thinking because I want Dexter to unleash a can of you-know-what on somebody. :)

Stay tuned, I'm posting that update next! ;)

Ok, first off, your TR has been bookmarked in my favorites to read later for ever now, and I’ve finally gotten around to it! I’m hooked! Haha

:welcome: Thanks for reading along!

You should definitely get the monorail shirt- it's a must have!

I haven't had the corn dog nuggets yet, but I'm sure they're delicious! The hotdogs....:lovestruc

Haha, right? That Naveen was something else.

Yay! Thanks for following me! I'll follow you too! :)

The poutine came with a little tureen of gravy, so we hadn't put it on yet in that picture. Still, I bet the "real deal" stuff you have is WAY better! :goodvibes

Haha sorry for making you hungry! I made myself hungry too! :rotfl:

I'm glad so many of your remember Bunnicula! He was great!

Thanks! We were so relieved! :goodvibes

Ugh, I'm sorry your foot still hurt, isn't it annoying when you just want to run around Disney and something has to hold you back? :furious: And being in a bad mood in Disney is no fun either, I'm glad you bought the HM figurine to cheer you up! :goodvibes

Thanks! :) Yeah that is the worst...I hate when I don't feel my best in Disney! The HM figurine definitely helped my mood, though! :goodvibes

I was SO relieved we got to switch! ::yes:: I'm getting ready to post the update for our new resort now!!

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a fabulous Thursday. I'd like to point out that we are less than two months away from our trip now! It's getting SO close, but it still seems so far! 59 days! Hurry up, July! :bitelip:

Also, I'm not sure if any of you are fans of the television show Modern Family, but on last night's episode they went to Disneyland! It was really funny and you can watch it online here if you'd like!

Okay on with the update! We had lots of good guesses about which resort we were moving to, and I feel like I've been evil enough making you all wait this long, so let's take a look, shall we?

Hmm...it's a moderate resort...that we'd never stayed at before...

It's really pretty...

And nicely decorated...

Alright, I'm getting on my own nerves now. I'll just tell you!

DSCN0291.jpg

CORONADO SPRINGS!!!!!! :hyper:

DSCN0292.jpg

One of the items on my bucket list is to stay in every single Disney World resort at least once, so I was THRILLED to be staying somewhere we had never stayed before!

We parked the car and the picture taking madness ensued.

DSCN0293.jpg

DSCN0294.jpg

Gorgeous! The entry area kind of reminds me of CBR. I loved it!

DSCN0295.jpg

A fountain! Yippee! Fountains just make everything better, am I right?

DSCN0296.jpg

The beautiful lobby! I was very impressed with the Christmas decorations. They were gorgeous!

I went to check us in while John raced away to find a bathroom, because, according to him, his "eyeballs were floatin'". The CM who helped me was super nice, and I was really impressed with how easy it was to check in. I kind of expected it to be difficult since we had literally checked out of our other resort like twenty minutes earlier, but he had no problems and before I knew it we were on our way to our room!

But first, a picture of that lovely Christmas tree!

DSCN0297.jpg

I guess I was so excited that I completely forgot my DIS etiquette because I didn't write down our room number OR take a picture of it. I have shamed myself.

I do, however, remember that we were in the Cabanas section, which was awesome because it was the closest building to El Centro!

Ready for some amazing room pictures? Here we go!

DSCN0300.jpg

Oh lord that bed. It was so much better than the ASMo bed! The comforter was actually a real blanket, and the pillows were non lumpy and bigger than a loaf of bread! YAY!

Here are the doors leading to the bathroom area.

DSCN0302.jpg

Here's a view of the room from the bathroom area.

DSCN0303.jpg

I was so happy with this room. It was big and nice and comfortable. I'm so glad we made the choice to switch resorts. I feel really bad about bashing ASMo, and in the past I've had wonderful experiences there, but it just wasn't working for us this trip. Being in CSR made me feel like I was finally comfortable!

Oh, and my favorite part of the whole thing? THIS VIEW.

DSCN0304.jpg

We were on the second floor at the very corner of the building, and it was so private there! Seriously, I have never had a quieter location in all my trips to Disney. We ended up really enjoying the peace and quiet, especially during such a busy season!

DSCN0305.jpg

I was so happy!

We had a dinner reservation for Kona that evening, so we decided to explore our new resort for a while before we headed that way!

Here's what the buildings look like:

DSCN0307.jpg

Up Next: Exploring CSR, and a dinner at Kona! Stay tuned!

It was such a beautiful afternoon and my foot wasn't hurting too badly at the moment, so we were excited to explore Coronado Springs!

DSCN0308.jpg

DSCN0309.jpg

I couldn't get over all the pretty views. There's so much water there!

DSCN0310.jpg

Hey bird. How you doin'?

So John and I were wandering along over this lovely bridge, and we spotted this weird thing in the water. John's immediate reaction was, "It looks like a dead wildebeest!" Do what? Of all the things that could've been floating in that water, I'm pretty sure a dead wildebeest is at the bottom of the list of possibilities. It turns out it was some tree bark thing, but I have to give John credit, I kind of see the wildebeest thing. Okay, not really...at all...

DSCN0311.jpg

We went back to El Centro for a little while so we could explore there!

DSCN0313.jpg

John loves a good fountain as much as I do.

DSCN0314.jpg

PANCHITO'S! Try to say that and not yell it in a super excited Spanish accent. You can't do it.

DSCN0315.jpg

It's BURRITO! Does everyone remember him, or am I just weird? I got so excited when I saw him, and I started being all creepy and petting him like he was real or something. I'm pretty sure I scared a couple of families away.

DSCN0316.jpg

I was really impressed with these Mickey ears. There was a whole lot going on there for a very affordable price. Unfortunately I prefer the headband style ears rather than the full on hats. I tried to get John to buy it but he said no thanks. He did, however, find a hat he really liked. It had Donald on it and it said, "This is my happy face!" I thought it was cute. He made a mental note to come back and buy it later in the week.

DSCN0318.jpg

What is this brilliance? Seriously? This is the best toy idea EVER. Just look at it. All of your basic Disney foods are covered here: Mickey bar, popcorn, turkey leg, rice krispie treat, pretzel, and even a hotdog with ketchup hidden Mickeys. My future children WILL own this set, just so you know. And I WILL play with it.

DSCN0319.jpg

I just couldn't leave Burrito alone.

We wandered outside and found these handsome fellas.

DSCN0321.jpg

The three caballeros! So cute.

Here's a map of the resort!

DSCN0299.jpg

I really wanted to see the pool, so we started walking that way.

DSCN0322.jpg

So pretty!

What an awesome pool! I hadn't even brought a swimsuit on this trip, but I was very impressed by the theming. I would love to swim there someday!

Of course John managed to sniff out the arcade, so he dragged me in there for a little while.

After a while I was able to remind him that we had Kona waiting for us, so we headed back to the room to get ready for dinner. The sun was setting as we went back in the room!

I was so excited to be trying Kona for dinner! I have been there for breakfast, but when I read Jess' August TR about THE BREAD, I absolutely had to go there!

Here's the bad news...I was so excited that I forgot my camera! That NEVER happens to me! :( Ugh I'm so disappointed in myself! What makes me really angry is that I took a bunch of pictures on my iPhone but they got deleted! GRRR! :furious: (I feel like that smiley is a little bit of an overreaction...I really wasn't that mad...) The only picture from the entire dinner that I was able to salvage was one that I had posted on FB while we were there! I apologize for the lack of pictures, but I promise I will give lots of detail to make up for it. You know, my usual overuse of works like "delicious" and "fantastic." It's all in a day's work. :rolleyes2

Anyway, when we got to the Polynesian I did my usual "oohing" and "ahhing" over the wonderful Christmas decorations. When we got to Kona we were seated by the absolute cutest old lady hostess I've ever seen in my life. No joke, she was precious.

Our waitress was really nice, but bless her heart that lady was slow. It took her forever just to come take our drink order! We decided that since we had used up one of our dining credits on our impromptu dinner at Le Cellier the night before we would just pay for this dinner OOP, so we didn't order an appetizer. I didn't want one anyway- I wanted THE BREAD.

I ordered a soda to drink and John got a beer. And here it is- the one and only picture I have from our dinner!

I felt like I was about to jump out of my seat I was so excited to get THE BREAD, and it took our waitress forever to bring it. Seriously, I thought I was going to run in the kitchen and grab a loaf of it myself, but finally she brought it out!

Here's how nerdy I am about Disney food: I was so excited to try THE BREAD, that as I was cutting it and spreading that amazing butter on top of it, I actually got butterflies in my stomach. Who gets nervous about eating a piece of bread? This girl. Yeah, I'm not proud of that. I was just really looking forward to trying it because I am a bread freak (I originally typed that statement without the "a," so it said, "I am bread freak" That's my new nickname, just call me Bread Freak) and Jess had made it sound so delicious in her TR. Okay I can't explain this away. I'm just weird. Anyway, Jess' description was spot on, because THE BREAD was the most amazing bread I've ever had in my life. I loved the pretzel bread at Le Cellier, but this stuff was even better. I could have eaten nothing but that for my entire meal and I would have been totally satisfied.

Because I loved THE BREAD so much, I was really struggling with not making a complete pig out of myself before our actual entrees came. John kept telling me, "Stop eating it, you're going to get full. Stop eating it, Joni. Seriously, stop. Stop. STOP." I just couldn't stop, and before I knew it the entire loaf was gone. I'M A GLUTTON.

I had to chuckle a little at John telling me I was going to get full, though. It's like he doesn't know me at all! ;) We both ordered the teriyaki-style New York strip, and I had no problem eating it! It was really REALLY good, and I loved the pineapple teriyaki glaze on top. John said it was better than the steak he had at Le Cellier, but I still loved the filet more.

For dessert we decided to split the chocolate fondue. I am a complete freak over warm chocolate so I was thrilled about this dessert. Unfortunately the fruit was kind of out of season (well, it was December) but the coconut macaroons were amazing. Once again, say it with me, I'M A GLUTTON.

We were seated in one of the tables that's 1/2 table and 1/2 booth, and I was sitting on the booth side next to this adorable old lady who was wearing like ten thousand different Mickey things. We basically became best friends. Her name was Beverly and she's cooler than 99% of people I know. Except you guys, of course. ;)

After our delicious dinner we were both stuffed and exhausted! We headed back to our new resort and collapsed into bed! My foot was still hurting, but I was feeling much better overall! Little did I know, a dark cloud was looming on the horizon! DUN DUN DUUUNNNN...
