So lets share all this glorious snow with those that aren't getting it. Here's a few from my house at 25 inches and going strong.

Oh, my, Tina! I just want to give you all a big thank you for taking our Michigan snow this year. :thumbsup2

Holy cow! I'm in Michigan and we didn't get anything. I think we have only shoveled once this year.

Oh. My. Gosh. Matt is going to have so much groveling, over this!

Tina, don't overdo it physically!

Woah, Tina!

That looks like my childhood days in Michigan! And that would be a big snow there, too!

Ten years ago we got 18" here in Lexington and the town was paralyzed. We didn't have school for a week. I would love to see that kind of snow again!

We actually are getting way more snow this winter than I remember. We got about 5" the other day and that was a lot. More is predicted for next week - I hope not for you!

Absolutely! And be careful! One time in Michigan, my brother stepped into a snow bank that was up to his hip and he twisted his leg really badly. I can't remember what he did to it, but it took a while for him to recover.

Wishing it would have pushed a bit more North. In CT we didnt even get a trace.

We got hit pretty bad here in Pittsburgh (22" at my house this morning), but nothing like you guys are getting in the DC and Phila areas.

I had to dig a path for my dog to go outside:

No need for pictures, my deck looks just like yours! Actually I'm a little worried it's going to rip off the house. Even though we are obviously not going anywhere, it's a little panicky feeling knowing you can't go out if you needed to! My FIL had to call an ambulance for my MIL since she hurt her leg badly. We told them to call because we figured it might be hours before they could get there, but a few minutes after calling we could hear the sirens over the phone! I'm truly impressed, but they are closer to main roads than we are so I'm guessing crews are working hard on the roads. God bless all those hardworking nurses and doctors who are living at the hospital!! It's a terrible feeling knowing we are totally helpless at this point.:headache:

Yay, I finally figured out how to post a pic!

You don't seem to have the drifting that is normally associated with a blizzard.

In Blizzard of 78, the drifts were 3/4 the way up our doors. My dad had to toss me out the bathroom window, so I could work my way around to try to clear the door so others could get out of the house.

He also removed the glass from the screen door & tried to shovel out the door that way, but only could get so far.

Budcollector--when I first saw your name I read Butt collector--sorry :lmao:.

I remember that. People in our neighborhood were climbing onto their roofs and jumping off! Cars were completely covered and our door was like that, too. I don't remember how we got out.

yeah, I'd post a picture, but it'd be EXACTLY the same as everyone else's....we have a lot of snow here, and it's still going strong. We're in that band of extreme snowfall where it snows 2 inches an hour. I had to call out of work today, and it's a good thing I did...I was supposed to be in at 12, and I work at a mall, so I look on the mall website, and it says they closed at 1....that would've been SOOO not worth it. :rotfl2:

Be carefull Tina, don't over do. Even better hire someone to do it for you:)

Here's mine looking from my back porch down through our back yard. It just stopped snowing here, at least for the moment!!!! Even where my DS ran the snowblower, there is a few inches to the bare ground.

Wow, everyone's pictures are great but I'm glad it's you and not me! Mother nature just likes to give us ice! We had it last weekend so it's nice to get back onto a regular schedule this weekend.

It's sunny and 19 degrees here in Vermont. We seem to be getting a break from the big dumpings this winter. But I feel your pain! At least when it snows like that here, we are prepared to clear the roads and most everything is moving again within hours. I was down in Virginia for the storm last weekend. The whole town was shut down the entire time I was there.

Good luck and stay warm.
