Snow pictures..show'em off..

OMG, I can NOT believe all the snow you all are getting! How are you shoveling!

But anyways, when I showed my DH your photos, he suggested we share our yard... Afterall, he DID have to shovel last week...

And now, a little comic relief from my DH...

Our front yard doesn't look too bad...

Everyone can keep their snow. Like others have said, we have caught somewhat of a break this winter.

We've only had 1 decent storm and that only dropped about 18 inches over the course of 8 hours. For us, that is not bad at all. Schools closed, but nothing else really did.
We have about 4 inches out there now, but that's just accumulation of a little bit every few days or so.

I will not complain one bit that the snow gods are gracing the mid-atlantic this year over us. ;)

From my dorm room window - that's all we got haha (and there's virtually nothing on the ground, either)

We haven't even attempted pictures. Who the heck wants them anyway? LOL

We are in a state of emergency and so far, after many hours of shoveling, we still cannot see our vehicles even. I HATE THIS STUFF!

SHHHHHHHHHH!

There's still a lot of Winter left!

I just read that Elkridge, Maryland has 32" and it is still falling :scared1:

Here is what we have at our house--we are supposed to get 5-10" tomorrow/Monday

Here you can see the piles at the end of the driveway

This is in our back yard. That is a bench you can sit on and in front of that is one of our ponds-which is surrounded by bushes you can't see under the snow. The bushes are probably as high as my knee or a bit taller so there is probably 2' out there right now.

Such cool pictures! (ok, maybe to me, not you...:p)

Question though, is anyone driving in it? Or you are you all completely stuck?

DH has been driving in it since 4:30 this morning. Hauling groceries in an 18-wheeler. Just got off work about 15 minutes ago and will be home soon. Took him all that time, 11 1/2 hours to do a 170 mile roundtrip!!! At times he was doing 10 mph on the interstate. People are traveling the streets in my town. Streets are plowed but snowpacked. Not sure of the snowfall total, somewhere over a foot anyways. My pics on page 2 of this thread were before the snow was over.

Beautiful! (says me from afar!)

I know, you love where you live, but yikes! I know I'd never be able to live in snow like that!

Stay safe!

Wishing it would have pushed a bit more North. In CT we didnt even get a trace.

It is fine where it is..we've been really lucky with the snow this year and while I hate the cold weather I am liking the fact that I have had almost no snow to deal with this year. (suburb of Buffalo)

God Bless your DH! Glad he's returning safe and sound. Give him a big hug for us!

No, on one in our neighborhood is outside. The county plows have cleared our street a couple times, but as it's still snowing it's iced over. News has warned all day, if you don't have to go out, don't! We have everything we need right here, other than DH having to clear heat pump off several times, as seniors don't plan on going out today. Our Jeep would probably go thru our 20" of snow, but we don't plan to big a path to it until tomorrrow. Once the snow quits, thankfully our good neighbor will plow our driveway. :goodvibes

I was sooo happy to see him walk in the door!!!! He got a huge hug:hug:. I do worry about him out in the weather. Not his driving skills, he's excellent and has been driving for around 30 years. But last week's snow caught him in an accident. He was coming home from the eastern shore on Rt 50 right before the Bay bridge and a fellow in the center lane pulled in front of DH, who was in the right lane, with little room to spare and immediately applied his brakes hard to pull in to a McDonalds. DH tried to stop but hit him. The car ended up on it's side. Luckily, the guy wasn't hurt. The state trooper ticketed the guy up for an unsafe lane change and lectured him about how 18-wheelers can't stop on a dime.
