Hi I read this somewhere, not on the boards and thought it was a great idea. For kids too little to really snorkle try this.

Take a plastic ice cream tub and cut out the bottom. Take saran wrap and place it all the way around the bottom, and use tape.. and rubber bands to hold the saran wrap around the bottom, then the little folks can place the bottom in water and see the fish without getting head wet:)

What a cute idea! I don't know how my 2yr old dd would like it though! ;)

There is a really neat type of foam board, bit like a surf board, that has a mask embedded in the front. The kid (or adult) can just poke their face into the mask and float around. The boards have tethers for the adult to hold and lead them around, or you can just wrap your arm around the child and board and swim along. We rented these in Hawaii from Snorkel Bob when our kids were little. Never saw them anywhere on the Eastern itinerary, though. Would be a nice addition to the rental gear at CC-hello DCL?

This idea is in the Brownie scout handbook! It counts toward the Water Wonders badge. Okay, it actually suggests using a Crisco can, but it's the same principle.

I think I saw it in a 365 outdoor activites book, but I figured it would be great for my 5 year old nephew in November. Hope someone tries it out:)
