Hi Guys

Not posted for ages due to redundancy (boo) and new job starting (yay!) but had to share bit of possible info with those who care!!!

Ive just done a bit of market research ( i mean responded to not organised!) about our beloved parc and was asked to rate 2 descriptions of a possible theme:
The jist of it is (wait for the groans) a Pixar/Disney Parade highlighting Incredibles, Ratatouille, Monsters Inc, Tangled and others. Interactive Events like a Monsters Inc Scream Academy where kids learn tricks (?) and an Incredibles encounter :confused3

More interesting is a lights/ water/ fire show projected onto the castle. :thumbsup2

TBH the whole thing (as a theme) sounded a bit dire and barrel scraping to say the least esp when the New Gen festival wasn't that long ago???

Now of course I wish I'd screen shotted the descriptions *** I must have forgotten something.

Boo hiss to option one.
Option two sounds like it has the makings of being spectacular if done in the best way with no corners cut. Thanks Zin, missed seeing you on here. Congrats on the new job xx

Congratulations on the new job! :woohoo:

The lights/water/fire show sounds good! :thumbsup2

yeah I agree the Castle Spectacular thingamy jig sounded a bit different for us DLP-ers, not a patch on USA offerings of light and water shows but we would enjoy it I'm sure. The worrying thing about the research questions was basically that they were only really asking about the best way to sell the same idea.
Spin 1 was to emphasise 'monsterous fun' in the shape of Sulley et al
Spin 2 was playing on the Pixar-ness of it all and mentionned more characters
The content was still the same, so it sounds like they have decided what they are going to do, just unsure of how to convince us that it's a good idea.

I'm presuming all of this is for after 20th Anniversary theme (???) and tbh I've not heard much hoohah about the plans for the Anniversary AT ALL! I've stalled a trip this year to make sure we go during 20th Anniversary. Our first ever visit was during 15th Anniversary and the theming and park decor was so pretty, I was hoping for s'thing a bit spectacular!!!!

That's great news about your new job, well done! :thumbsup2

There doesn't seem to be much about the 20th yet but there's this page on DLRP Today.

Perhaps they'll start advertising the 20th once the brochure for next summer comes out (is that November?)? I'm really hoping to get over next year for the 20th, I agree the 15th celebrations were fantastic so hope next year will be as good.
