Snarky Snow White

Nope, because I didn't report her. I said she had a bad day. It's the only "bad" Disney experience we have had and I don't feel owed anything. My only intent in reporting now is it obviously was not a one time experience , a bad day- this particular girl has poor people skills apparent and needs told to watch herself or hand over the black wig to someone who won't make snow white look like a jerk. I don't want a thing.

I don't think every little thing needs reported. If the server had said it that way I honestly wouldn't have cared but a princess doesn't need to do that. I don't feel the need to report every incident because "Disney needs to know" . People have bad days so no need to report except it was worse because she is a character. Had I not heard she did the same thing to others I'd still not have reported. Maybe everytime a character acts poorly they do need reported idk. That's to each person to decide on their own. Some people are more comfortable hitting guest services daily to give a run down of their. Others don't feel their voice needs to be heard on every issue and may question if they misjudged things. To each their own. Guest services isn't the only way to remedy- that's why they have the contact us sections .

I have to apologize. I got you confused with another poster who had an issue with Snow White's appearance in Epcot's WS. Sorry. You had two different situations.
Yes, people have bad days...I love working retail and customer service, and have had some days that were doozies. But.....when you are representing a company like Disney, and you are interacting with children, as a much loved character, it would behoove you to act appropriately for that character. What would happen if your experience happened to some one who was on their one and only trip to WDW??? What if that meal had been the one they splurged on, and they were having no others?? Well, now a character has 'performed' poorly...which has now impacted a guests visit. It's one thing for those of us who go often to deal with an occasional bad experience. But I do tend to feel badly for those who are first timers..and have no idea the way it's supposed to be.

Again, sorry for my confusion.

Shoot, my post was eaten:

Basically I said no need to apologize there are many snow white stories on here!

My point was not everyone judges what merits an immediate complaint the same . I thought by droppin it my girls wouldn't remember it - wrong- and that it was an isolated experience - also wrong. I assumed Disney holds those who portray characters to a higher standard and therefore they wouldn't normally act that way so I brushed it off - until my friend had the same experience. Even though they go every couple months, what arethe less the same snow white would treat them similarly? Obviously it's her way and she needs corrected. How many others assumed like me that oh she had a bad day we all do
But there are several on here who have similar experiences so she's getting by being unpleasant to guests and ruining little girls princess experiences. So something needs said and after this I wont let a bad character experience slide.

Part of acting is not reacting on your own emotions so if she can't do that or handle things in a more snow white like manner she doesn't deserve the job!

OP-- I am sorry about your experience with Snow White. She was my favorite as a child and I wouldn't have been happy if we'd had that awful experience at WDW.

We were there in October 2010 and my DD was 3 years old. She was madly in love (obsessed) with Snow White and couldn't wait to meet her. (back story: We had recently moved from Ohio to VA and our DD was experiencing a reoccurring nightmare about a scary robot that she kept telling us would chase her in our old house.)

So.. She did BBB and we headed back to Toontown for her to meet her very favorite Princess and Snow White there was ABSOLUTELY amazing.. took so much time with her and that lovely soothing voice, kissed her on the cheek with her red lips and all was perfect.. until the end when Snow White kept telling our poor DD that "wishes really do come true!" lol.. you should have seen the look on her poor face. We kept saying-- "Except that scary robot one!" lol.

Have a great day!

Maybe she's a "mole" for universal.. Lol get it? Cuz she has a mole on her eyebrow? Lol

We ha a rude prince charming at 1900 park fare. Actually just a bad experience there altogether but he was the cherry to top it off.

Also... As for the rude prince charming.. I reported him because I work in the film industry and I simply cannot stand actors and they often need to be put in their "place". Well, the famous ones are nice.. Which is why they're famous.. The amateurish actors are the ones with the egos and attitude and that's why they will always be amateur.

Sorry to hear that. We had a bad experience with Mary Poppins and she was rude/snarky with me. It was right when it was my daughters favorite movie and we waited a long time to meet her.
Seriously she was so snotty with me and I really felt like I had to just suck it up because i didn't want to say anything in front of my daughter who adored her and I almost felt like crying. I really felt insulted.

The later I thought maybe her rude remarks were her being "in character"
I didn't even want to watch the movie for awhile after that but I stewed quietly because i didn't want the experience ruined for my dd.
Anyhow I am hoping to replace the bad memory with a good one on this trip and I hope you and your kids are able to do the same!

We had a bad experience with Pluto ( or was it goofy..can't remember) writing in our Autograph book "it's easier if the kids sit until we get to the table" at Chef Mickeys...wasn't even my dang kids that were up and attacking him!

Gross generalization much???

What do famous actors have to do with anything? :confused3

While I do agree that face characters (and all the other characters as well) are acting, I don't agree with you saying that they have egos and attitudes (which is what you are alluding to).

Disney face characters' jobs are to interact with guests. They are supposed to believe they are the real deal. When you get a Snow White who has a bite to her (no pun intended) it sort of throws off their charm and makes a child go, "She wasn't like this in her movie."

This is such a strange response to this thread IMO.

Sorry I just meant that in my experience, I've worked with a lot of actors of different levels.. Student, amateur, famous, not so famous, etc. and what I have notice is that the lower level actors are one with the biggest attitudes.. And I would consider the face characters probably a lower level and at least at Disneyland many of them would like to pursue careers in film as real actors.. In my head it was relevant but I guess you don't get my point.:confused3

Don't tell me that! I booked a dinner at 1900 Park Fare for my trip next month *just* because I wanted to meet a Prince!

:-(

Also I don't mean all famous actors are a piece of pie either.. And vice versa.. If you want to understand what it's like working with actors "my week with Marilyn" does an excellent job of showing what it's like to work with actors to get a film made.. Sometimes it's very difficult as they are very emotional and needy people.. Well some of them

I bet he was the same Prince Not-So-Charming that we had at 1900 PF last yr. He was a jerk. Certainly NOT charming. I had forgotten about him until I read your post. He certainly didn't ruin our experience, but he certainly was a blemish on an otherwise wonderful experience (that meal is DD's favourite Disney memory, courtesy of the amazing dessert the chef made just for her).

I love those snow white pictures! Dreams come true is probably bad for my 4 year old to hear too! Never thought of that lol.

I want to hear wha the prince did lol. He sounds like a gem!

I read a simar Pluto situation before. Chef mickeys and he wrote something nasty in a book like that. So out of line. Seems like some of theface characters get away with some crappy behavior. As if someone wants that written in a book!

Have a great day!

I think that is my friend's niece (friend of Snow White until pretty recently). She was also a great Mary Poppins!

The thingis you're powerless as a parent. If I said something to snow white my kids are going to be mad I corrected a princess. And what's it going to look like if you mouth off to a giant yellow dog for ruining your auto graph book?! I think they count on this when behaving badly.

I also wonder if the Florida ones being unionized makes them feel more secure in their position? I've read a lot about the CA being better/ doing more and the fact that not being union plays into that ....

BTW, I don't know if this is unique or common but I found when we don't get autographs the characters do more interactive stuff with the kids. We got hugs from Belle, the "good" Mad Hatter used my son's spoon to fling cheerios at Alice, etc. It seems when they have to sign the autographs they do very little else, in my experience.

This was our experience as well. My favorite interactions between my daughter and characters were without the autograph book.

At Disneyland several years ago, Snow White had a massive hickey on her neck! Yup, she sure did. The makeup did not come close to covering it up, in fact, drew attention to it.

We jokingly called her "Slutty Snow White" the entire trip. Our daughter was a teen at the time and was the one that pointed it out to us. We howled.

Now the question is which of the dwarfs did it lest start taking bets!

I bet one main street bakery cinnamon roll that it was Doc!
