Several years ago, a guest found a snake in the valance (upper curtain) of their Garden Wing room at the Contemporary. The Garden Wings (there were two but one was demolished to build Bay Lake Towers) were set back and behind the Contemporary. If you are facing CR, the remaining one is on the right.
The snake I saw at HS was black with a red stripe around it's neck. It was tiny, I thought it was an earthworm at first until I saw it slither. Realized it was a baby. Is this a coral snake? My anxiety reaction is too bad I can't look at pics on google!
Totally harmless. There was one outside my apartment building once just laying in my path. I touched it and it slithered away. They only scare me if they startle me at a close distance. You probably could use me as a "snake clearer" on your trips
I don't recall ever seeing a snake on WDW property. Keep in mind that most snakes are terrified of humans and will get the heck out of dodge before you could even get close. Moccasins are the only ones I've heard of as being aggressive. Keep out of tall grass/bushes and you'll be fine.
