Snake in Resort Room?

Also, isn't there a good chance there are alligators in the river:confused3 I remember seeing a video on youtube of an alligator (it was a small one) in the water at splash mountain. That was a little freaky.

I actually saw an alligator INSIDE Splash Mountain once. It was the oddest thing. It sounds crazy, but I'll swear he was holding a fishing pole.

OMG! Stitch, I was reading this thread for a while when I got to the one where the navigationally challenged duck hit you in the head. For some reason this really cracked me up :rotfl:. I fast forwarded to the last page and who's there again but Stitch with a wacko squirrel. Again cracked me up.:lmao: Too funny after all the creepy snake stories.

I think any post about snakes at Disney should be banned. I was much happier sticking my head in the sand and pretending they weren't there.

Oh and by the way. This is the worst thread EVER!

A snake wouldn't surprise me too much, although I've never seen one. That's not to say I CARE to see one...but throw a spider anywhere in my line of sight...OMG I can't even think about that...*SHIVER*

Glad I gave you a laugh! Yes, thankfully no snake encounters! Just the duck, squirrel... and can't forget one night at ASMovies... was afraid to go back in my room because an armadillo was in the bushes in front of my door! Next night, a racoon went by my door, again was scared to go to my room!
But oh, the duck - my kids will never forget that :rotfl:

O.k....Why am I reading this thread??? :confused3 I dislike snakes as well:scared1:
So, I have to tell you guys my little snake story: (This is not Disney related, but funny..sorry to hijack) My best friend bought a pet shop and we went down to visit her for the weekend. I needed to use the restroom so I asked Melissa where it was. She said, oh, just go in the back and to the left. I flipped on the light, sat on the throne, started doing my business and then looked to my right.....:scared1::scared1::scared1: I should have kept looking straight ahead.... There was a shelf FULL of snakes she had gotten in the AM shipment...in clear tubs...They were looking at me:scared1: I thought I was going to pass out right there...:rotfl2: and then the EMS workers would have a great laugh:lmao:I just froze...couldn't move:eek:....I screamed :scared1: and she ran back there laughing...She knew why I was screaming:rotfl: she totally forgot about the snakes.....:goodvibes...Well, she claims she did anyways...:rotfl:

Hopefully there won't be any snakes in my room at Disney:goodvibes:goodvibes

I knew to be aware of gators, but never thought about snakes. So now I will be on snake watch in our room and when walking around. I was thinking of getting a ground floor room at Pop, but now Im thinking that an upper floor maybe nice too. lol Then I think of the snake on the 4th floor of the Contemporary and think, they could come in on any floor.

Several Years ago while circling Typhoon Lagoon in the River I saw a snake about two foot long swimming along with me. He was trying to get out the the slides were too slick.

No snakes, but we did see two "romancing" frogs in Epcot last summer. At first we thought it was one squished frog (and that made me a little sad). Upon closer examination, we realized that Epcot isn't only romantic for the human sort.

That is sweet... "The Princessprincess: and The Frog:bounce:" when they were both frogs.

I'm not use to snakes. Can they swim next to you? Now I'm wondering do they lay on the bottom of the lazy river and you could step on them?

Haven't read this thread in a looooong time (& I don't want to go back through the 5,000 pages again) :scared1: We are staying at CBR in November. Does it have a high "reptile population?" (Hoping not!)

Snakes can stay underwater for a while before they have to get air but I wouldn't think they would just lay on the bottom. Snakes won't want to be where there is a lot of foot traffic plus the water is clear.

I remember seeing it somewhere in the beginning. There's not much to see....it's at the top of the window, hiding above curtains. I think I remember that there's a CM trying to get it down with a stick of some sort. Pretty scary! :scared:
