Hi DH and I are taking DS (4) to Epcot next week. I can't seem to get a TS ADR so we are planning to "snack around" for lunch and dinner. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tonya

Biergarten/ pretzels and frankfurters
France anything and everything
Norway has wonderful pastries as well
Morrocco I haven't tried but will this year, want the Schwarma Platter
Sunshine Seasons has some great food options in future world

fish and chips at Yorkshire very yummy
China has good eggrolls and sweet and sour chicken

Actually a CS credit, but we use it as a snack is the nachos platter at Mexico CS place. You can get it 'loaded' with meat and cheese and peppers on it or just 'plain' with cheese. Sometimes we get one of each kind and the 4 of us split them as a snack or a lunch when paired with a nice snack credit dessert!

The Electric Umbrella right by Mousegear has done us justice in the past. It's a quick service place with decent food. They've even added some healthy options over the past few years.

France: anything from the bakery:goodvibes Cheese plate and a glass of wine or a pastry with coffee. YUM! The wine shop in France will also prepare a Kir (Champagne/creme de cassis) as dry or as sweet as you like. It's a real treat.

Germany: bratwurst and beer:thumbsup2

Norway: School bread (is a sweet treat) and coffee

American Pavillion: Smoked TURKEY LEG!!! Enough to share for sure or the ubitquitous funnel cake is well prepared, too.

Japan: Kaki Gori....flavored shaved ice or sushi from the Yakitori House

If you need some real food in addition to all the treats...

I was amazed at how good the ham & cheese croissants were at the France bakery one night when we were snacking our way around - even got back in line for a 2nd one (DD and I were sharing and one didn't cut it).

And of course the fish & chips from England.

How big are the ham & cheese croissants?

The food at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco is our favorite. This CS place is better than a lot of the TS at WDW.

The snack credit ham & cheese croissant is about 3 or 4 bites, really small. We get one each with a chocolate mousse too. Yum!

We've split CS: Fish & Chips from the Rose & Crown window, platters at Tangerine Cafe, turkey leg from Fife & Drum, cheese plate in France, salads and sandwiches at Sunshine Seasons.

Other snacks we enjoy: Kaki-Gori in Japan, pretzel at Germany, pastries in Norway (school bread or sweet almond pretzel!) or France, funnel cake in USA (not on the DDP though), candy and/or muchies OOP (not on DDP) from the big dept. store in Japan, and the ever popular Mickey ice cream bars!

I don't remember them being as small as the other poster mentions, and I take big bites. There wasn't a 1/2 pound of ham on it - it was probably 2 or 3 slices on a "normal" size croissant. I would term it what should be a normal portion - one that would do fine as a large snack or even a normal (not gutbuster) meal with a dessert to go along with it. If one is looking for quantity on the dollar - this isn't a stuff-you-upper. It's delicious though.

Closed for renovations!

I'd recommend falafel from Morocco - fresh and tasty. Fish and chips in England are also a favorite of ours.

I think this is a perfect summation of the best of Epcot "snacks"!!!
:woohoo:

We LOVE to snack "around the world" - we call it our own International Tapas!

Some of our favorites:
Pretzels from Germany
Pita chips and hummus from Morocco
Pastries from France
Nachos in Mexico (though they are closed, there is a temp setup serving chips and guacamole that's good)
(nobody said vacation was for healthy eating!)
Avocado Margaritas from La Cava! Ok, so this isn't a snack, but I can't resist adding this to my list of favorites!!

DH and I are taking a trip without the kids. We are going to "snack" around the world. Things that our kids will never do:rotfl: So we are thinking of sharing a croissant and dessert as part of our snacking:cloud9:

DS likes to eat at Liberty Inn so I grab Lefse at Norway and then later Chocolate Mousse in France. This is my "sin" meal and it's perfect! :)

You couldn't have picked a better park for Counter Service.

First off, one of the best CS restaurants in all of Disney is located in the "Land" building, near the entrance to Soarin'. It is called "Sunshine Seasons," and they have rotisserie chicken, flatbread sandwiches, unique salads, a delicious Spicy Thai Chicken, and plenty of kids options.

In World Showcase, here are some of our favorite Counter Service restaurants (going clockwise):

Mexico: Tacos and nachos from Cantina de San Angel (if it is still open).
Norway: Roast Beef sandwich and School Bread from Kringla Bakeri og Cafe.
China: Orange Chicken with Steamed Rice at the Lotus Blossom Cafe.
Germany: Bratwurst and Beer at Sommerfest.
American Pavilion: Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap at the Liberty Inn
Japan: Tempura Shrimp Udon at the Yakitori House
Morocco: Falafel Sandwich at the Tangierine Cafe.
France: Ham & cheese croissant and a chocolate eclair from Boulangerie Patisserie.
England: Fish and chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
Canada: A big box of popcorn and a Molson while you watch Off Kilter perform!

One of our favorites hasn't been mentioned . . . rice cream topped with strawberries from Norway --- yum!

We never miss fish & chips...2 trays makes the perfect snack for the 4 of us.

If you enjoy a cocktail . . . try the Grand Marnier "slushee" at the kiosk in front of the France pavillion, near the water. MMmmmm!

We were in Disney last year in March with no reservations, we went to Biergarten in Germany, walk up for lunch , and there is this fish and chip place around the corner from Rose and Crown, it is a walk up and order place and there are tables in a small park like area to sit and eat, WARNING-we sat on a bench near the water and my sweet DIL was scared to death because the sea gulls kept swooping and landing near us, of course her husband my DS did not help since he kept throwing fries at the gulls :rotfl2:
