I have read countless times that the snack option contain a choice of--1 Snack choice of a frozen novelty ice cream, popsicle or fruit bar, single serving grab bag of Frito Lay's chips, one 20 oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dansani Water, single piece of whole fruit, medium fountain soft drink or apple juice----but is this really the only choices you get??? I have heard from other people that there are other even better choices for the snack option..What is the real deal? This our second trip to WDW but the first time using the dining plan.

Hi
There are plenty more snack options than what you've listed. Be sure to look for the Disney Dining Plan symbol to tell you if the item is part of the Disney Dining Plan snack options. Not all the snacks available have this symbol, but most do. Be sure to ask a Cast Member if you're not sure.

In my opinion, Starring Roles in Hollywood Studios has some of the best snack options. Most things could easily be shared between two people as they are huge and rich desserts.

I second that. Starring Rolls is wonderful for a quick bite. I just wish they had indoor seating in the summer.

...the ice cream sundaes at Mrs. Potts in Fantasyland at MK. The hot fudge brownie is the bomb :woohoo: and just one snack credit. Don't forget to order your FREE refreshing cup of cold tasty ice water...no snack credit needed :thumbsup2

General rule of thumb is anything under $5 is considered a snack, even packaged items like rice crispy treats...but as stated above just ask a CM if you have any doubts

This only applies if the serving size on the back of the package is 1 serving size. When we were there in Dec. the boys wanted a big sucker and it was not covered on the snack plan as the sucker said 2 servings. My DH and I laughed at this, try explaining that to the boys. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Yeah right!!!!

Now Son you just lick one Side and your brother gets to lick the other. By the way. Stop licking when your tongues touch.

Instead of buying a lot of snacks in the park, to save money I was wondering what snack I should bring in that will keep well through out my day of magic.

My WDW class is going to Disney World Mar. 10th through 17th. I've never been to florida, so i don't know what snacks would keep best during that time. Thanks for your suggestions in advance!! :woohoo:

when DD was on the free dining plan, she used the snack credit for her breakfast every morning..
at Pop Century, a serving size box of cereal and milk together counted as one snack credit..

I would suggest chips or something similar (maybe mixed nuts?)

Pringles would be pretty crush proof. Really anything that will not melt would be good, and a backpack would be good to keep it in (Disney has no problem with outside bags/food/drinks, unlike some other theme parks.)

If you have a Sam's Club/Costco/ warehouse store membership, try some of their individually packaged boxes of things, like chips and fruit snacks.

Thanks!! I think I'm going to do trail-mix stuff, It won't melt nor will it get destroyed.
