No, you would get a list of likes, dislikes, allergies... about the person you are sending to, and you can purchase your items from that list. It can be items that you can find only in your area, or just anything from the store.

Unfortunatly, this exchange is closed and this is just the sent/recieved thread. I'm sure I will do it again either this year or next year if you are interested. Or keep your eye out for the Locally Made Exchange which are items that you send made only in your area-might do that soon, you never know. Right now though, there are several other exchanges that you can participate in. For an easy reference, look at the top of the Community Board under exchange links and you will see what there is-ex. Used book exchange, Easter basket exchange, .....

Exchanges are alot of fun, check them out and hope to see you join us.

Obviously, not much made in my area except for the Wal-mart brand chocolate chip cookies. All of these came from Wal-mart so I guess you could say that I bought them from an Arkansas company.

I got a package today!!!

The truly funny thing was I forgot I hadn't recieved my snack exchange one yet. I have signed up for so many lately and between all the sending and recieving it just slipped my mind. So when DH came in with a package and said it was for me I was stumped!

I had recieved my slipper exchange package earlier in the day (FedEx) so I knew it wasn't that.

When I opened it I was laughing. Can't believe I forgot.
Thank-you cwnhokie for a great package that was literally a pleasant surprise.

Guess I should check the website of the post office to see if I can find out where the package I mailed is. She said it should be delivered today.

Ok, the good news is I got another package today! It is downstairs so I will have to bring it up and list all the goodies.

The bad news is I also got the 3 packages I sent out returned to me today because I sent them out the day after I printed the labels (I did it online) and they are only valid the day you print them (unless you change the date).

So I printed out the labels again today (with monday's date) all priority mail and they will get to their destinations on wednesday. I'm really sorry!

Ok, I am in peanut butter HEAVEN! Here are the goods:

Package of reese's swoops (DS's favorite)
Reese's cookies (if you love peanut butter, you absolutely HAVE to try these!)
Entenmann's apple pie
Box of microwave popcorn (DS and I dove into this while watching daddy day care tonight)
Reese's caramel peanut butter cups
Reese's double choc peanut butter cups
And last but not least, my fave by far:
Little Debbie peanut butter crunch bars.... We can't get these around here anymore. The Shop Rite down the street from me had them about a month ago.. and I bought the last 6 boxes on the shelf. And they haven't had them since!
