Do they still allow you to trade your drink for a desert/snack when using the QS DDP at the resorts? Our last trip they were a little pickier in the parks but we didn't have any trouble using our drink credit for a cupcake or snack at the resort QS locations since we had refillable mugs and did not need a drink with our meal. We will be staying at BCV/BRV so I am most curious about Hanna's, Roaring Fork, and Geyser Point but would like to hear any recent experience so we can decide whether or not to add the plan. Thanks in advance!

Hurricane Hanna's is a great pick for QS since you can get many alcoholic drinks as a choice with your QS. Not sure you'd want to trade that for a dessert unless it's for the kids. ;)

But seriously, I'm not sure because I haven't experienced it on the new dining plan, but I did hear that it was more likely to happen at resorts than in the park... if that helps.

I can confirm that it was allowed at Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House only) and Wilderness Lodge (Roaring Fork and this one allowed more items as substitutions than AKL did, some valued as mush as about $7). It is dependent on the location, for example pool bars that also server counter service (i.e. Kidani) can't do this.

It was allowed ar OKW as well. We were allowed to exchange at Flame Tree too, but the CM did say that it was a special treat as a thank you for coming out in a downpour. We had hot coffee when we went in for lunch and no desire for a cold drink on that raw rainy day.
