Are smoking rooms segregated off from the non-smoking rooms somehow at each of the DVC properties (like confined to a specific floor)? Or are they intermixed?

For BWV , they aren't completely separate from all the other rooms but they are grouped together. I know for std view and some pool views , smoking rooms are located all the way at the end of the hall.

I don't know about BW view rooms since I haven't stayed in that area yet.

I don't believe there are any BW view smoking rooms anymore.

At OKW, they are separate buildings.

BCV they are all on the same floor (4th, I think?).

When we were at BCV in December we checked in later in the day so I was worried about getting a smoking room. My kids both tend toward respiratory problems so it is a big concern for me. So when we were checking in I confirmed a non-smoking. The CM helping us said that all BCV rooms were really nonsmoking however people still chose to smoke in them. Not sure how this is the case since they still ask when you make your ressie. I didn't argue with her though, as long as mine was NS..

That certainly isn't true. We stayed in a smoking optional room once because it was ready. I asked if I could check it out before we moved everything it and it was okay.

I think the confusion comes from Disney's terminology. There are only "smoking optional" rooms, not "smoking" rooms. So what the front desk CM said was technically true (albeit misleading).

I found a web page for BCV that does indicate where the smoking rooms are for that resort. It's very nicely done! It would appear that all the smoking rooms are clustered in an area of the 4th floor. That makes it easy to do requests for those who want to be as far away from that as possible.

Are there any similar maps available for the other DVC resorts?

Not if the CM said they were all non-smoking and people smoked in them anyway.
